Obama is asking us ALL to pay attention and get involved, he is asking us to listen to what he has to say, and to take some initiative to look up all of the specifics he has laid out in his "blueprint for America" (available on his website)for how he would like to implement change.

In other words Obama is trying to help educate low information voters so they don%u2019t have to keep repeating hate speech .

He is asking us to step up to the plate and take some responsibility for moving this country forward in a way that benefits us all (not just the top 1%, like McCain%u2019s plans would do).

"We will ask Americans to serve. We will create new opportunities for Americans to serve. And we will direct that service to our most pressing national challenges."

"When you choose to serve %u2014 whether it%u2019s your nation, your community, or simply your neighbor, You are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That is why this is a great nation

First thing you have ever posted that I agree with. Obama has called Hillary Clinton and John McCain his friend.

Gee, I hope he isn''''t indicted in Chicago first! Anyone verified that birth certificate yet? And has he passed his pre-employment drug test?

Are you able to come up with any thoughts of your own, or are you restricted to using Republican Talking points that get faxed around to the TV pundits and talk radio?

Your party seemed to enjoy being scammed the last two times. Can you explain that?

Obama''''''''s favorite pals:

William Ayes better known nationally as the most notorious %u2014 and unrepentant %u2014 figure from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.

Lois Farrakhan-Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, best known for his racist, homophobic and antisemitic views.

Antoin "Tony" Rezko-charges of wire fraud, bribery, money laundering, and attempted extortion

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr-Senior Pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ who gives racially and politically charged sermons, such as when he said, "God *** America"

Ali Abunimah- a well-known anti-Israel activist who reveals in a report that Obama said ''''''''Hey, I%u2019m sorry I haven%u2019t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I%u2019m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.'''''''' Abunimah''''''''s report included a photo of Obama with his wife Michelle seated at a table with virulently anti-Israeli Professor Edward Said and his wife Mariam

Obama sure has some sleazy friends.

burfnyc: I''m not GOP. I''ve been an Independent all my life, and a Clinton supporter since 1992. Hillary was robbed, disrespected, and dishonored by Obama and his thug supporters. McCain was good enough for Kerry four years ago, and he''s a much better choice for president than a come-from-nowhere unknown with questionable background, disreputable associates, and no credentials.

Judging by all the GOPsters that infect every political blog, one would have to wonder, how anyone ever voted for Obama.
Of course, these same people, while manufacturing lies about Obama, ignore the current state of our Nation.
All they have, is the usual GOP MO... attack, attack, attack.
No ideas, no thought, just follow what they''re told, and continue to vote against their best interests, whether financially, or for the good of the Nation.
