- Then again I suppose my asking for real debates and judging issues based on logic and reason must be attributes of right wing extremists according to the posts. Lol.

Why do you suppose McCain refused to the 5 debates offered? Especially the 2 in depth ones on the economy and foreign policy, where they would truly be debating each other? I think the in depth ones really help you get to know the person, rather than a bunch of questions, many of them meaningless that are all over the map. Those types are not debates and don''t usually allow any follow ups, so you don''t learn much about how the candidate really feels about the issue. - Reply to this comment
- Cryos,
You''re wasting your time, they don''t listen and don''t care. Their hatred for Bush blinds them from the truth about Obama. - Reply to this comment
- Obama isn''''t afraid to debate, he''''s just not going to allow McBush to dictate the terms or pay for a joint bus because Johnny can''''t afford his own.

- from David Plouffe at the Obama Campaign:
"Barack Obama offered to meet John McCain at five joint appearances between now and Election Day%u2014the three traditional debates plus a joint town hall on the economy in July and an in-depth debate on foreign policy in August. That package of five engagements would have been the most of any Presidential campaign in the modern era -- offering a broad range of formats -- and representing a historic commitment to openness and transparency.
"It''s disappointing that Senator McCain and his campaign decided to decline this proposal. Apparently they would rather contrive a political issue than foster a genuine discussion about the future of our country.
"Sen. Obama believes that the American people deserve an open and accessible debate as they choose between real change and four more years of failed Bush policies, and he welcomed McCain%u2019s invitation to offer voters ''the rare opportunity of witnessing candidates for the highest office in the land discuss civilly and extensively the great issues at stake in the election.''" - Reply to this comment

Do YOU have a mental problem?? You asked this question and people have answered as to why they believe the debate issue isn''t settled yet as if that was some big issue... it''s the LAST of June MORON... We have until NOVEMBER! Obama is doing JUST fine and certainly isn''t in any hurry to change a thing. Would YOU?? God you Nazi''s are so DUMB... No wonder you support the WORST in our HISTORY!! Sieg Heil Bush!! Folks I''ve got a house plant smarter than this bootlicker!! Honest!! - Reply to this comment
- The Republican Party is in DEEP DEEP trouble in my part of the Country because they have allowed themselves to be taken over by people in the Religious Reich and Southern Nazi''s!!

- Once again..... no answer just a statement. How is asking a simple question being defensive? If what I say is false why won''''t Obama agree to unscripted town hall meetings with McCain? As the saying goes the proof is in the pudding.

LOL Be careful swastika breath.. you MAY get what you ask for and not want it afterward. I have lived in Illinois a LONG time and McSame can''t handle this bright young man but I can understand why he wouldn''t agree. McSame needs a Hail Mary at this point... why take the chance? - Beastof70 & Cryos, it must feel strange having the majority of America disagree with you. I understand. I mean, I would feel just as defensive as both of you do.

=====================
Cryos, I tried this one a couple days back.
I even pointed out how the Town Hall format will give the advantage to the more experienced and quickest of wit.
I even tried to stampede these hyphenated-Americans emotions by pointing out how their boy was so scared of a heads up town-hall format he''s panting and shivering like a **** hound trying to excrete a peach pit.
Like you say..."crickets"

- Many of us Americans have African lineage in our family trees just like Sen. Obama.
Mine for example was a result of my Indian grandpa married a free black woman.
But, most of us are American first and it really sounds silly to call ourselves an, "African-American."
However, Sen. Obama actually is one of the few who has a legitimate right to call himself an African-American. Because his father was African who never spent much time, if any, inside the US.
But, this also points to another difference....Unlike mine, Sen. Obama''s lineage contains absolutely zero black American history.
IOW: When you think about it, Sen. Obama''s blackness actually reveals the fact he''s a half-A** American.
And, I personally prefer having a real American heading up the Executive Branch. - Reply to this comment
- The hypenated American has to have his wife change who is so he can be accepted. We are who we are, and to present ourselves as something else is wrong. She is not Jackie O and looks out of place dressed like that.
He is like all other politicians trying to get elected, attack the other guy and make him into someone he isn''t, flip flop and disassociate yourself from the people in you life who are getting bad publicity even though you have closely known them for 20 years.
Yes, that is being true to youself. Change is the slogan and he is trying to change what himself, his wife or the county to fit into his fantasy way of life, the 50s are over come into this century. - Reply to this comment
- Who among you "confident" hyphenated-American Sen. Obama worshippers can offer an explanation for why Sen. Obama''s claims that closing down the Republican created "Enron" loophole alone would reduce gas prices by 30-40%....
Yet we hear from this Democrat lead Congress yesterday there appears to be nothing they can do to reduce the price of gas in the near term??
Was Sen. Obama merely showing more of his inexperience?
Does Sen. Obama really care to reduce the cost of crude based products, since he''s in the pocket of giant bio-fuel producers?
Or, was this merely a lie Sen. Obama plucked out of his butt to deal with the cause du jour??
Sen. Obama, what do you mean we Americans can go drill ourselves for all you care?? - Reply to this comment
- If you put a pencil to it....Something I know most of these hyphenated-American Sen. Obama worshippers have a tough time handling.....I''m just surprised nobody has made much of a deal out of the fact John McCain enters this general election with somewhere just north of a 30 million vote lead over Sen. Obama.
I mean come on people, you truly can''t believe, even in the wildest parts of your often demonstrated silly minds believe that any real American will vote for a hyphenated-American to be President, can you?? Really??
Someone who is so hyphenated they refuse to allow their birth certificate to be examined as part of the vetting process?? Really??
Someone who is so hyphenated he places the pursuit of the dollars big bio-fuel producers put in his pocket, over America''s economic and national security?? Really???

- The only way the Democrats will not sweep congress and the President office is if they screw up worst then the Republicans and if they do it will not matter because we will be at war with the entire world.
Hang it up neo cons the numbers are getting worst each day one of McSame''s people opens their mouth.
It shows they would screw their mother for a vote. - Reply to this comment
- Yeah that''''s right McVet I forgot this presidental election is about electing a rock star for American Idol my fault. You just once again proved my point. Sad you probably don''''t even realize it.
So why is Obama afraid to debate McCain again?

This is strange how we come to nominate our Presidential Candidates. If it we%u2019re a popularity contest based on appearance, or projection of grandeur we could possibly see this year%u2019s Presidential Election between Republican Ron Paul and Democrat Dennis Kucinich? Both candidates have action ideas that bode well with most all Americans on both sides of the isles.
And, Obama wasn%u2019t falling for the setup Town Hall Meeting offered by John McCain. Republicans have to have a closed, sifted, and screened audience when ever they appear in public. Otherwise, they might have to answer to the results of their detrimental agenda. - Reply to this comment
- Ah one of the usual Obama supporter tactics. When your candidate is called out for what he is change the subject or attack McCain or someone else. If McCain is so dumb what is Obama afraid of to debate? I bet I won''''t hear any real answers and just will hear bad excuses, deflection and accusations. The liberals have become what they claim to despise about republicans; intolerant and unquestionable.

Oh PLEASE!! ROFLMAO Obama LEAD''s by 15 POINTS in the polls.. have YOU heard the two speak?? ROFLMAO Get real! Why should Obama, who can draw 20 - 30 THOUSAND people to a rally, even allow McSame the same stage with him!! ROFLMAO McSame wants to continue the Policies of Bush, that in itself is enough for ANY sane American to vote against the tired old fool!! SIEG HEIL BUSH - Reply to this comment
- A terrorist attack like the London or Madrid bombs is enough to wipe out any major advantage of Obama over McCain.

You think so?? Do you think the fascist are desperate enough to actually do it?? Actually have the CIA pull off one? They have come very close... in the last election. Personally I think American''s are fed up with the fascist, they polls and the number of people leaving the ONCE Proud Republican Party because of their Fascism pretty much show''s where that''s at. WE are not safer today and the fact that those who attacked us the first time are still out there is evidence of that. Now what could make ANYONE think that a second attack would have a different result?? Sieg Heil Bush - Reply to this comment
