- Obama said yesterday, "I want everybody here to be absolutely clear: Senator Clinton is one of the finest public servants we have in American life today. She has been on the right side of just about every battle that we have fought. . . She is worthy of our respect, she is worthy of our honor."
If these are just not words, but if he really means them, and follows up by putting Hillary on the ticket, I, a continual critic of Obama, will become an enthusiastic supporter. The question is, "Is this guy just a good talker, but does he put his words into action?" We shall see. His election may depend on it. He cannot afford to have us Hillary diehards, a sizable chunk of the Democratic coalition still angry and depressed come election time. - Reply to this comment
- The MSM would have us believe that this puppy is all but wrapped up in a big, red ribbon for the junior senator from Illinois. This Clinton supporter will NEVER support or vote for this EMPTY SUIT. I have heard nothing but rhetoric from this man since he announced his candidacy. Some in the National Media and his supporters need to understand that some of us are just not buying what he is selling.
It is not just the fact that I think he is incredibly shallow, but has he ever had an original thought? Every eligible voter in this country can support whoever he/she pleases. While some in the Party may hold their noses and vote for Senator Obama, I will gladly cast my ballot for Senator John Sidney McCain! At least with Senator McCain, I know what I am getting. With Obama, who knows who will be thrown under the bus next? - Reply to this comment
- Posted by Mattcat25: "They (republicans)will only resort to Their same old playbook of smear campaigning and swift boating the opposition. Yawn.
Americans need to vote for their better interests in this election."

Well said. You can bet that as November draws closer, the fear & smear tactics will begin in full force. - Reply to this comment

I''''ve switched my registration from Democrat to Independent. Would you remaining "Democrats" be so kind as to let me know in two years how this is working out for you?

- Really good question. Who the hell turned the DNC over to this whack job corrupt idiot from Chicago?
Who''s big idea was it to put the DNC in the most toxic political venue in the country? - Reply to this comment
- mccain honorable? Are you joking? He cheated on his wife after she was in a car wreck and gained 20lbs. Sounds very honorable, oh and dont forget that the majority of his current campaign staff are lobbyist.

- I don''t blame you folks unhappy with Obama, I''m not either. I don''t like things he''s done and said and feel Hillary got a raw deal. That said though, I CANNOT bring myself to vote for McCain. He will continue the ruin of our country started by Bush. The only chance we have is with the democrats in power of all branches of government. The republicans took control in 1994 and look what they''ve done. We must stop them. Hold your nose if you must, but please vote democrat.

- Certainly we would want to wrest the party from the hands of the people who gave us eight years of prosperity...Bill and Hillary Clinton.

- The McCain people are trying to keep words that by any stretch may refer to age from discussion about McCain. But since they consider almost all words to be included, it seems there''re really trying to stop all talk about him.
I think they''ve lost their bearings and are confused over the issue. After a half century in office, McCain should have a tough old hide by now. - Reply to this comment
