I love this story - not so much what McClellan said but what the wingnut reaction to it is.

The biggest crime in wingnut land is lack of loyalty to the group. Not the country, not other citizens, not the truth - no, the worst thing you can do is be an outsider.

This reason and this reason alone is enough reason to never ever let Republicans anywhere near the levers of power. They will ALWAYS choose their in group over the common good. They will ALWAY fail to act in an ethical or honest manner.

They care more about themselves than they do about America.

How to tell the difference between a neo.con and a real conservative:

* neo.con- loves war and knows how to profit from it
* con- hates war and know to use military force only as last resort
* neo.con- knows how to out spend "tax-n spend liberals" cuts taxes for rich
* con- hates BIG government and wants to to cut spending & lower taxes for the middle class
* neo.con cares nothing for individual freedoms & the rule of law, is ok with allowing government to spy on citizen because they know it can be a useful political tool, loves the traitorous "patriot act"
*con- does not trust the government and refuses to support surrender of liberties. Hates the traitorous "patriot act"

libslovetospit,
The fact is that a man who held a position in the heart of the Bush presidency is making some very serious accusations. He was in a position to know. Don''t you think that anyone who really cares about America and its soldiers would really want to look at this a lot further? Maybe the "opposition party", or Democrats in Congress are, at the end of the day, going behind closed doors and rubbing elbows with their "Republican enemies"?

Now, let''s look at your reasoning from the opposite angle. If Mr. McClellan really is lying, then he''s committing slander against our President and his legacy. I fully expect that our President, out of concern for his wrongly tarnished reputation, will sue Mr. McClellan in court for damages, and to clear his name. The only reason he wouldn''t do that is he''s afraid McClellan will prove his assertations, and, perhaps even more bad things will come to the surface.

Let''s direct our attention to Mr. Bush for a moment. Mr. President, if this "disgruntled" former member of your administration is so wrongly slandering you, take him to court and sue him for slander! Don''t waste your energy sending your people out to defend you in the court of public opinion. Clear this thing up once and for all in a real court, presenting real evidence! You see, until you do, I''ll have a hard time respecting you any more.

Oh, I don''t hold the Democrats in any higher esteem. They are equally, if not more, to blame for the messes that we find ourselves and the country in today. They could have, and should have, been doing something to stop Bush all this time. But you are right in that they were too cowardly to put up a fight against him as they should have.

It really does not matter what anyone may guess Bush''s (or Kerry''s) IQ to be. Bush is still an idiot. And a dangerous one.

As one proof. - Just really listen to the moron talk. -- Actually have to talk without notes or a speech soemtime. He can''t put two decent English sentences together.

Fact: Rove and Libby leaked a national security secret

Posted by EddyNewHope at 06:21 PM : May 30, 2008
.. .. ..

And Sandy Berger stole national secrets and stuffed them into his socks.

Both sides are guilty of the same things.

Methinks they (Repugs) protesteth to much.
This reaction to a book by a ''former'' colleague by Mrs Dole and others makes me want to jump on his bandwagon. Were I not naturally suspicious I would just to make them upset. If we were not already aware of the duplicity of this administration. some of us might speak out in support. So I and others are keeping our hands off this thing but also keeping our ''powder'' dry.

For you who want to look yourself at the data about the IQ of President Bush and Senator Kerry it''s all over the internet.

Go to a internet search engine and look up Steve Sailer. He was the original evaluator.

I doubt there are any NEOCONS posting here today.

Most of those who use it, employ it as a insult rather than it''s actual definition.

libslovetospit,
Mr. McClellan probably wasn''t so repentatnt at the time these things were happening. But, over time, the guilt crept up on him. He did eventually quit, and he did eventually come clean about everything. Seeing innocent young men and women come home from war in boxes and with legs and arms missing, and blind and deaf, and with head injuries, and with burns over the majority of their bodies tends to make you see things differently. In any event, how do you respond to his charges? Do you think it''s important to investigate this further? If not, it doesn''t seem to me like you care about America or our troops.

LOL - Riiiiiight. Keep telling yourself that jagoff. Fact: Rove and Libby leaked a national security secret (name of CIA agent) as political retribution for speaking out against the war. Do you disagree with that simple truth? Of course you do because you''re a moron.

New York Times
By JOHN TIERNEY
Published: October 24, 2004

Linda Gottfredson, an I.Q. expert at the University of Delaware, called it a creditable analysis said she was not surprised at the results or that so many people had assumed that Mr. Kerry was smarter. ''''People will often be misled into thinking someone is brighter if he says something complicated they can''t understand,'''' Professor Gottfredson said.

Many Americans still believe a report that began circulating on the Internet three years ago, and was quoted in ''''Doonesbury,'''' that Mr. Bush''s I.Q. was 91, the lowest of any modern American president. But that report from the non-existent Lovenstein Institute turned out to be a hoax.

Hey libsluv2spit,
Can you sell me the IQ level of our President Bush. I am willing to pay good premium $$$ for it.

The IQ of President Bush and Senator Kerry were estimated from college and military documents available in the public realm.

The evaluators were Universit/College Professor types qualified in this field of interest.

They admitted bias of Pro-Kerry and Anti-Bush with hopes to discredit Bush.

The were forced to admit that Bush had a Higher IQ that Kerry.

They admitted the results were not welcome to them but in the spirit of truth they were compelled to admit their results.
