Spoken by a few bloggers here:
"Politics is all about who you can buy."

Why is that a surprise to you all, it has been done for decades. You have go with the one who can produce results- - not who promises you the most change.

Bush isn''t toxic to Republicans - they are toxic all unto themselves. They are no different from him, they are one and the same. Bush could not have done what he did without the Republican Party''s complete obeisance. They not only did nothing to stop him, they prevented any oversight and hamstrung the Democrats at every turn. They denied hearings when they had the Majority, they denied documents to the other side, they held secret meetings. We still don''t know what were in the secret Republican White House e-mails that were destroyed and never turned over despite subpoenas. The Republicans made this bed and had a jolly time with Bush - now they must pay for it.

Wow - that book is creating some ripples. As if the American people didn''t already know that the war in Iraq was based on B S. Who made out? Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield got to play Army with our military, Wolfowitz got to play monopoly with the World Bank (before he was fired), Halliburton, Blackwater, Chevron, Exxon, etc. all made billions, and the US will be paying the bills for literally decades. We owe more in debt than at any other time in our history. How can we expect China to respect the US if we are so deeply indebted to them?

The reason why McCain has adopted the nickname "McSame" is because of his policies in Iraq. Whether the people posting before want to believe it or not, war is ALWAYS the number one issue. If our country is at war, especially an unpopular one, than the one MAJOR issue in the election will be that war. No one likes to see the lives of our soldiers wasted. These are young Americans who have sacrificed EVERYTHING to fight for their country... now just think, what has come from their deaths? Please, name me ONE THING that we have accomplished because of this Iraq invasion/occupation/war/complete failure. Just ONE THING.

So, yes, McCain has historically rivaled Bush on many issues; but the major issue is the war. He wants to stay so he''s McSame. Obama wants to pull out so he''s... uhh... well, he''s our next President, that''s what he is.

Why is everyone acting so surprised? I''ve know they were war criminals since the git-go. The whole bunch should be in jail and....waterboarded.

Clinton left a HUGE surplus in the coffers because he had a BRAIN. Baby Bush sees the surplus, licks his chops and goes on a spending spree (at our expense)...just like he did with 3 of Daddy''s companies...the difference is he not only squandered our MONEY, he squandered our BLOOD. I hope McClennan''s book will spur this country to charge Bush, Cheney & Company with CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.

Bush and company did have near-universal support to go after the Taliban and Al Qaeda. But then he redirected the attack to Iraq, deceiving the US public into believing that Iraq was responsible for 9/11. And he let Al Qaeda get away.

That''s pretty much what I said...The change that I was talking about was the disregard for the respect of holding the highest office in the nation...Bill Clinton made a joke of it with his cavorting around the white house...It was like a game to him..."Let''s see what I can get away with under everyone''s noses".

McCain can flip flop, say he''s suddenly found God and will dedicate himself to world peace and that won''t get him elected as president of a VFW lodge! He is a WAR MONGER thru and thru. Baby Bush is clearly his HERO! He has told the American people he wants to CONTINUE THE WAR! 7 years ago Bush said he wants to be the WAR PRESIDENT and you didn''t believe him!!! What''s it gonna take for you people to wake up???????

The American people need to hold the Republican Party accountable for their Corruption, Deceit, and disregard of our Constitution (along with a few other things).

The American People need to prove the United States is still a Democracy.
