- pepperp1...I have been posting the DNC Rules everywhere. No one seems to care...there were also 5 states that broke the timing rule and only Florida and Michigan were punished. The DNC rules only pertain to the delegates not the actual votes that were cast in Michigan and Florida. The DNC cannot take away the people''s votes. The votes in these two states were counted and certified and should be counted. Obama wasn''t on the ballet in Michigan and should get no votes. He violated rules in Florida and should get no delegate votes. Since Iowa, South Carolina, and New Hamphire violated the rules why weren''t half of their delegate votes taken away... it seems like the DNC is the one violating the rules.

- Where the Dem Rules Really Lead

The mandatory penalties set forth by the Democratic National Committee%u2019s delegate selection rules call for outlaw states like Florida and Michigan to only lose half of their delegates to the national convention. And yet the DNC went beyond its own rules to add further penalties, stripping those states of all delegates.
The DNC rules also prohibited public appearances and electronic advertising before the polls closed by candidates in states that had jumped the approved primary calendar. Barack Obama made a public appearance in Florida in September 2007, talking to reporters after a fundraiser. His campaign also bought television ads on cable news outlets that ran throughout Florida before its renegade primary.
Strictly speaking, if the DNC rules were tightly construed in this case, Hillary Rodham Clinton would receive half of the Florida delegates she won and Obama would receive none -- the penalty for violating the campaign ban

- In choosing to waste her expensive TV time and our patience in this manner she is showing a distorted view of what a solid platform should be.

I presume you are referring to the ABC debate in Philadelphia ? Puleeeeze. The moderators were responsible for the questions and tone of the debate, NOT Hillary.
She has challenged Obama to a debate without moderators on SUBSTANCE, but he turned her down. This does not bode well for him. He looks cowardly. - Reply to this comment

- Barack Obama has a new superdelegate to add to his list: Jeff Bingaman, senator of New Mexico. The endorsement may come as a sting to Hillary Rodham Clinton

- Hillary is the more electable by far. Wright has been the kiss of death, plus Obama has shown his elitist side offending many.
