Well said!

Racism is just so uncouth, but sexism is still a hoot to these grumpy old men!

So what?

I call my sons "boy" all the time. My friends, I''ll refer to them as boys. So what? We''ve got TOO MANY Don Quixotes running around the country. Looking for giants when all there are are windmills.

joycewest - that is a very racist statement, so you mean if a white calls a black a boy it''s racist, why wouldn''t you say anyone a boy? Now who is willfully ignorant?

When will you white people ever realize that''boy'' was a racist word used by white men to degrade and humiliate black men into submission. The white race lost their (so called) right to say this word in regards to black men without penalty or punishment. Sorry.

These bigoted fools humiliate our state. The Kentucky GOP should hang their heads in shame. Who spoke up at that event against Davis'' remark? Anyone? You are judged by the company you keep. Bigots know where to find a home, a place where people will just let things slide, where they won''t be so sensitive. Davis'' apology means as much as any bigot''s apology, which isn''t much. A 40-something year old man who calls a man of color "boy" is willfully ignorant, and spends his life trying not to get caught. But why stop with Davis? People really ought to be asking Mitch McConnell, Jim Bunning and the rest why they gave silent consent to such a slur.

But when people call Hillary "girl" and worse apparently it''s not a big deal. If it weren''t for this misogynist media propping him up, Hillary would have put this incompetent 3-year Senator away a long time ago.

It is superb poetic justice that a campaign that was based solely on words, is being brought down solely by words---ironically the words of the same person who will say one thing to humble, working-class people in small towns in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and Indiana and will say something denigrating those same people to one of his smug, sophisticated San Francisco donors. As a teacher of English, I am delighted by this turn of events. Words are great . . . when used by people of integrity, and so weak and terrible when employed by charlatans.

...well, besides the fact that some hillbilly from North Carolina thinks he can call a guy from Chicago a ''redneck'' - I''d say the only thing I''m afraid of is whether or not you clean up after yourself when you''re finished with my driveway...
