Heal the wounds of the nation by ending the division and and partisonship and bring the people together behind a course of action.
Then the politicians will follow.

Continue the divisions and the politics of partisonship, add to the alienation of the public, and the gridlock and slow progress will continue.

The politicians will be left to their divices to operate in the usual way by an increasingly alienated public.

It takes positive vision and articulation to change the course of the country. The same old politics will only yield the same unsatisfactory results.

Given the choices offered, inspiration is a stretch for sure, but if you''re looking for that tingling feeling in your spine, I guess Obama might do it for you.

Former Senator Lloyd Bentsen of Texas said to Former Senator Dan Quayle during a debate, "Senator, I knew John Kennedy. And Senator, you are no John Kennedy." My question remains--what is her reason for her endorsement? Is there resentment over Kerry''s loss?

-----CLINTON SLEEZE FATIGUE WILL INVIGORATE GOP, DISPIRIT DEMOCRATS AND SINK DEMOCRATIC TICKET-----

-----EDWARDS/RICHARDSON TO WIN-----

It is possible that Senator Clinton is the best candidate. However, even though many may like the policies that Senator Clinton proposes, they should also consider her record, just as Senator Clinton insists.
.
The last Clinton Administration, when faced with the fact that protection rackets where assaulting, torturing and murdering people with poison and radiation, chose to avoid its responsibilities to incarcerate the criminals and to protect the citizenry.
.
Instead, they made a deal with the criminal gang stalker protection rackets to leave them alone and to consequently abandon the citizenry.
.
Do we want a President who sells out the citizenry for votes?
.
Do we want a President who sends a "crime does pay" message to society?
.
Would you vote for a President who signed nonaggression deals with the KKKlan or the Nazi party? Gangs that torture with poison and radiation are much like the KKKlan and Nazi Party.
.
We do not need a sellout President. We need a principled leader President.
.
If you are one of the few who do not know what the above refers to, do a web search for %u201Cgang stalking%u201D to see the tip of the dirtberg. Please do it before you decide to reply to my post. Here let me make it easy for you: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22gang+stalking%22.

This doesn''t say much about her. She fails to support the first woman running for President. Wonder why? Is this personal? I am a white male who will join the sisterhood in supporting Hillary.

Caroline had to endure invasions of her privacy as a child and so chose to maintain a low profile as an adult. She has a law degree and has written several books. The fact that Obama is the first Presidential candidate she has openly supported is significant, since she normally avoids media attention. The symbolic significance of her support cannot be dismissed. It is further proof that Obama has the potential to reach across racial and cultural divides, rallying many Americans to aspire to something beyond self-interest. It is a refreshing change from the "me first" mentality that has prevaded American politics for the past two decades.

actually on inspiration, hope, and the inclusion of the young into the political process, barak obama and Kennedy are similar. the dirt on Kennedy''s *** life came out much later so while he was president little was known of his sexual peccadilloes. after the fact we became aware that his private life was fraught with the sexual excesses of bill Clinton. the real comparison here, however, is between Jacqueline ONASSIS and Hillary Rodham CLINTON who used the men in their lives to realize their desires. Ms Onnassis'' for wealth and ms Clinton''s for political power.

Very inspired comments. And one can see how America and Americans lost that vision and those ethical standards by simply reading some of the angry, snide responses by some posters on this thread.
