I lived in West Virginia for a few years. You don''t fool those people! If you are trying to be something you are not, they will spot it. Obama beware!

Senator Clinton has been fully vetted. When will we hear the rest of the Rezko and Jerimiah Wright facts?

think it''''s time Hillary supporters got used to two sentences that they''''re going to be hearing a lot of. "Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton" an"The next President of the United States of America, Barack Obama".

Oh, if our candidate concedes...John McCain looks better and better.

McCain is better than Bush, Obama is WORSE than Bush!

It''s that simple.

Check Obama and Clinton''''s voting record on issues of guns and civil liberty and you''''ll realize who is the superior candidate to lead the country. Obama is more cool with the 2nd amendment rights than HRC or even McCain...and that''''s the fact.

Oh right! Obama supports BANNING hand guns. Hillary supports registering them.

Mine are already registered, who cares! Let Barak Obama try to come get them.

newsjunky5 said a comment intended to slam all women. Barack Obama is expected to be more "cool" with issues because he is trying to convince people that he is very very "cool". Coolness does not equal a President. There is something wrong with "Former cantidate HRC -- Future President Barack Obama". Barack Obama is not declared a President by defeating Clinton, which has not been done yet (it was said to have been done months ago)

"Think anyone will remind the people of West Virginia that their state was given its independence from Virginia by Abraham Lincoln as a reward for their loyalty in the struggle to liberate the slaves so that the a black person would have the same opportunity as a white person to become president of the United States some day? Just asking... "
------------------------------
An interesting point in history, but I''m not sure that was their reason for luring WV away from VA. I don''t think black men could even vote then, and there were other logistical benefits. It''s also a fact that abolitionist John Brown and his men are credited(arguably) with the first shots fired in that conflict, at Harpers Ferry. And the first man they shot was ironically, the free black man who was a night watchman at the armory.
The Niagra Movement also started in Harpers Ferry, WV, which later became the NAACP in another location.
Recently the KKK got approval to march in Harpers Ferry, but I don''t believe they did. I considered going there, amongst the pro and anti KKK protesters and carrying a sign which read, "What can Brown do for you?" But I might have been shot.

"The Democrats, as you know, won West Virginia for a generation, up until 2000, and then lost again in 2004."
------------------------------------

The West Virginia Panhandle is the most populous part of the state. It is also the most liberal part. In 2000 a new bridge was completed across the Shenandoah River, which Panhandle residents must cross if they work in the Washington DC area. Many of them do. Traffic was switched over to the new bridge ON ELECTION DAY, 2000. This caused a massive traffic back-up several miles long. Many voters did not arrive home to their voting places by the time the polls closed. This excluded many of the voters that wanted to vote Democratic.

In 2004 Jefferson County, WV (the most eastern and liberal part) had it''s vote tallying machine "break down" ON ELECTION NIGHT and the results were taken to neighboring Berkeley County to be counted. The election results for the state were announced (certified?) before those votes were even counted.

He''''s expected to win BIG in Oregon AND Kentucky, but if he splits JUST those two states 50/50, he''''ll then have enough delegates to win the nomination. And that''''s not even factoring in the rest of the states - WV, Puerto Rico, MT, and SD.

Until he wins them, you can''t factor them at all!

All the polls I have seen in the last month show Senator Clinton polling anywhere between 61 and 68 percent. I would consider that a landslide!! Clinton wins West Virginia with no problem.

West Virginia has 28 total delegates. How big exactly are you expecting this "landslide" to be?

There are 217 delegates remaining, and she''s losing by 165.
