- I watched a film of Newt teachin a class on American history. He spoke on the subject of FDR's radio broadcast telling the American people that the D-Day invasions of Normandy had begun.
The guy is a brilliant speaker, and a great student of American History and the Constitution.
There are a lot of nonsense posters here calling him names and spouting nonsense, half truths and out right deceits against him.
The fact of the matter is that Newt Gingrich was the Mastermind behind the balanced budgets of '94 to 2000, that Clinton now wants to take credit for. I remember Clinton and Gore standing on the White House steps, accusing the Republicans of "holding America hostage" when Newt insisted on a balanced budget before the Bill would be allowed to pass the House.

Only when comparing ideologies, we were comparing conservatism so we compare like with like. When we want to compare ideology, then yes, one would say a liberal would compare with a con. - Reply to this comment

He's currently developing "...'American Solutions', his own brainchild of a Nazi-sounding idea that will meld state, municipal, and county governments into one homogenized, "Newt-ered", Republishit mess...looking like a Norman Rockwell painting, but gone bad like every one of the Bush boys.
