- The real culprit in turning the 2008 presidential election into a destructive racial conversation of us against them is the media.

- "Less government is the answer and only McCain is talking about that.

Republicans are in favor of less government, unless they are governing, from the Schiavo story to the bank bailout. - Reply to this comment
- I wonder if the Obama campaign''''s policy of NOT appearing at inner city, all black rally''''s (story recently covered in the media) is perceived as racist by his fellow blacks. Or is it just to feed the desires of those "racist whites?"
I suppose it couldn''t be because that is where his support is weakest. Isn''t that where you would campaign, or would you spend all your efforts in areas you are confident you will win? - Reply to this comment

- you will be called racist for voting against Obama.
I just sent in an absentee ballot today. Why isn''t Barack''s middle name on the ballot? Hussein. Is he ashamed of his Muslim heritage or, worse, racist? - Reply to this comment
- You will be called racist forvoting against Obama: you can see how the media is setting this tone in this article. In other words, he can''t possibly lose on lack of substance, on lack of integrity, on throwing his former supporters (Ayers, Wright, and dems, once he''s in office)under the bus. It must be race. But, again, could anyone this inexperienced and of unknown background have a chance if he were white?? I certainly wouldn''t vote for such a white, even if he were the most charismatic person in the world. Let him be a (voting) senator for more than a year first and THEN run on his credentials. Woe to Hillary !

Now am I guilty of religious prejudice as well because I typed his full name? Probably, but oh well, it''s his name and his heritage, not mine. - Reply to this comment

It''s an injustice for sure, but they can call me anything they want before I would be accuses of helping Barrack Hussein Obama take the highest office in this land.

- BBinFla: Color is irrelevant to ability. In this case lack of ability to do anything but talk a good game is the concern.
Thus, it is not about the person, the achievements, track record on issues and the integrity behind them, it is how they "look" in a debate. I hear this from many Obama supporters. And if you attack them on any of these issues and they lose on any of those shortcomings, you will be called racist for voting against Obama. - Reply to this comment
- The ridiculous part of this story is in the opening line...
''Sometimes I feel like a broken record. Despite all the claims that Americans have moved beyond race, WE still want to talk about race!''
The ''WE'' in this case is the media that wrote and published this article. Throw a little gasoline on the fire..... - Reply to this comment
