If you doubt this gap exists, merely look at how willing so many who call themselves Americas are to support a self admitted 50%-American as President, when all he''s offered them so far is a lot of "SMOKE and MIRRORS," errrrr I mean "HOPE and CHANGE."

Of course there''s a major patriotism gap.

On one side you have us real American conservatives.

On the Democrat side you have a bunch of hyphenated-Americans libwads willing to admit being some percentage less American than us. And, the willingness to wear the libwad tag indicates their desire to destroy America as built, including all her traditions.

First we have the planned appeasment tour and now we have the pander tour. I understand the empty suit has taken to wearing that nasty lapel flag pin and endorsing faith based programs. What a hypocrite he is.

Obama is a security risk. Half of his family is Moslem and actually live in Africa. No US government agency concerned with security would grant him a security clearance. He simply couldn''t get one. Electing this guy president would be putting the fox in the hen house.

Dear News Leader,

Please have someone start a petition to the Congress to explore petroleum in the U.S. as soon as possible to stop American people''s pocket pain (or have the issue put on the 11-4-08 election ballot). We, the people, need to speak up to the Government people what we want.

Please don''t let the Government politician destroy the U.S. economy in the name of protecting the earth and the environment, stopping and preventing the wildfire happened in America such as California and Florida etc. each year is enough to save the earth; Help America free from Mideast countries%u2019 "Oil harassment" and %u201Cterror harassment%u201D so America can be continuing as a strong world leadership for freedom for generations to come.

Supporting war on terror with American troop in the Midwest, Iraq war is not a stupid war; it is the way to continuing America as a strong world leadership for freedom. Freedom is not free, protecting & maintaining the freedom has prices to pay just like owning a home. Freedom is people get to say they want to say, freedom is not free, freedom is not cheap but it is worth it.

Thank you for prompt attention and action on this matter

Your loyal viewer,

A Small Town Citizen

The President of the United States - Merits Respect - Especially from those who work for him. You can agree or not agree with him, but you do not get people to disrespect him as Mr Obama has.

The United States - The Country - The Government, Deems Respect. You do not go around getting people to disrespect it. as Mr Obama has done.

When the Country is at war, you can not agree with the reasons But you still support you country in the cause. You do not get people to not do that, as Mr Obama has done.

He has lead a campaign getting people to disrespect their President, turn against their government and join and anti war campaign. That is not Patriotic.
Not the proper behavior for a United States Senator.

John McCain Campaigns on GI Bill He Opposed

Posted by Isaac Fitzgerald at 12:53 PM on June 30, 2008.

McCain does the flip-flop shuffle.

Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA), a Vietnam veteran, worked hard to pass a new GI Bill: S. 22. The bill increases education benefits for the men and women of the US military.

Webb reached out across the aisle to Sen. McCain, a fellow veteran, to help back the bill; but McCain refused and in fact spoke out against S. 22.

Of course McCain has the right to express disapproval for any bill he disagrees with, even if it seems strange for a veteran to be against better education funding for soldiers. But what he shouldn''t be doing is touting S. 22 as a bill that he backed now that it has passed (75-22).

Watch as McCain uses the bill that he fought to kill as part of his stump speech at a town hall event, stating:

I''m happy to tell you that we probably agreed to an increase in educational benefits for our veterans that not only gives them an increase in their educational benefits, but if they stay in for a certain amount of time than they can transfer those educational benefits to their spouses and or children. That''s a very important aspect I think of incentivizing people of staying in the military.

Obama is a modern-day Marxist.

Castro and Obama share many of the same values and principles for the country''''s economy:

1. Redistribute the country''''s wealth - Marxism 101

2. Grow the size of the government - Create new departments dedicated to supporting Item 1

3. Blame greedy American corporations for the pains of the US and the rest of the world

4 Increase taxes on those already paying the largest percentage and total amount. The top 1% already pay 39% of all taxes.

5 Nationalize healthcare

6 Campaign on a principle based on appealing to the lower income 50% of the US to despise the rich and convince 45% of the other half that their life is miserable so that once convinced of their doom and gloom, they will support the doomsayer and will want bigger government

Hearing Obama, Sean Penn and Jane Fonda praise the military service of others, is like hearing a rapist tell a rap victim she''s hot.

Outrageous!

Obama has nothing to prove when it comes to patriotism. He has not said and done anything that any reasonable person could ever say was in anyway unpatriotic. This is a non-issue.

anyways, mccain is playing up his military experience as a patriotic ploy. he said so himself: "obama didn''''t find it necessary to serve his country in our military". I don''''t give a ***** about military experience --- I find my civil rights and those of my children to be a bit more of a priority. Keeping us out of another war would be a big one, and clearly McCain is bomb-happy.

bull he did show his willingness to sacrifice his life for his country. He could have been killed He was brutalized for 6 yrs. Gee I think it is a reflection of his character that he stood up under this. You apparently aren''t voting for him and your point of view is skewed. Try a little objectivity. Mind you you don''t have to agree with him or even think he should be president but at least call a spade a spade.

I respect Barrack Obama but I don''t agree with him. I wish he was conservative. I would gladly vote for him.

Patriotism is not something you can Just say you have.

It is not wearing a flag pin, because others demanded you do.

Patriotism is something you have, in your heart, your soul It is something you believe in. It shows itself naturally. It is a special Pride you posses and show spontaneous. It is a Passion.

Some one who runs around Telling everyone Look I am Patriotic has no clue what it even is.

I do not know How someone who runs around for 2 years talking people into Not liking bush, hate the government, hate the war, Can even think anyone would believe they are patriotic. Especially a Senator.

The President of the United States - Merits Respect - Especially from those who work for him. You can agree or not agree with him, but you do not get people to disrespect him as Mr Obama has.

Speaking of "beliefs"... belief systems do NOT make a religion. Ergo, atheism would be a religion.

no one said this or implied this. but thanks for your correction!!! alot of people just might take their beliefs in hand, and find a religion that best suits their ideals. this is not an unknown. but you take it wherever you may.
