Comments on: Can Voters Be Objective About The Economy?
CBS News' Kathy Frankovic: Assessments Of Presidents, Policy Exhibit A Partisan Cast
- War spending is only portion of the economy problem. Didn''t we get the false feeling that one can sub the other. Can media report it as it is? BTW, CBS is the most unbiased media network compare with Fox and CNN.

- we have several generations of ''''me me me'''' and weaning them off the give-me-t.i.t is not going to be easy...especially with a liberal ready to just pass everything off to tax payers....from start to finish....no...we''''re getting ready to boost these ''''me me me'''' parasites into a lifestyle to which they have become accustomed to living...the OBLY ones who stand to gain ground under Obama are the freegan parasites already living nicely off the working stiffs.

You DO KNOW that it was a LIBERAL, FDR, who''s Policies we followed, both Democrat and Republican from 1932 until 1980 don''t you? You should also be aware that that POLICY allowed this nation to build the GREATEST MIDDLE CLASS with the HIGHEST Standard of LIVING in the world don''t you? Where has the Fascist policy of "Trickle Down" lead us?? Can ANYONE out there name me ONE, just ONE Working Class Community in this nation that has NOT suffered and suffered badly under the policies of Bush and the Fascist?? I haven''t been able to find one... NOT ONE!! SIEG HEIL BUSH!! - Reply to this comment
- I am not at all surprised to note that the no Child Left Behind Act (underfunded like most of "programs") does not consider critical thinking as a top priority for our youth to possess. When the electorate dumbs down the dumb ones are elected. Case in point.

No Child Left Behind has been intentionally left underfunded because from the Bush perspective it was always intended to fail. the standards of it require that test scores constantly improve every year, but put no reasonable standard on when to stop. If it is followed as it is designed then ultimately your school must reach a point where 100% of your students score 100% on every test 100% of the time or you must offer your students vouchers for private schools. The goal of the whole program is to kill publicly funded free education. then when all students are going to private schools they simply cut off the government vouchers and only the children of the rich will get an education, creating their goal of a permanent underclass of servants and laborers. - Reply to this comment

Why NOT? WE most certainly HAVE to do better TRYING under him that watching our our Standard of Living continues to sink in the sunset with the Fascist in Charge. DO you realize that the Standard of Living for American''s is NOW at the Bottom, DEAD LAST, amoung all G-& Nations. It was at the TOP when the Fascist came to power. Time for a change Sparky!! - A better question is: Can the news media be objective about the economy?

The News media can print nothing but straight party line like the Nazi press does and it will make NO difference. American''s can now see that those VERY badly Negotiated Trade Agreements have left them HIGH and DRY. They can see there ARE not great new jobs created by the sell out of American Workers. They KNOW now that "Trickle Down" will NEVER reach them. You can sell them Snake Oil for awhile but when they figure it out, it doesn''t matter what the News Media tells them. READ your history!! - "Most voters can be objective or optimistic if things are going their way. Most of those things, such as employment, affordable mortage or rent, affordable transportation."--

-We are fortunate that things are going our way. Gas prices don''t bother us, but we have been conserving cautiously for years, and yes, we both have to commute to work. We have a newborn and daycare expenses. I got laid of from my full time and part time jobs earlier this year, but was fortunate to find a very, very nice opportunity within a matter of weeks that is quite secure. My spouse''s job is quite secure.
Either way, we have plenty of money to pay the bills for a long, long time to come and since I''ve owned what is now our family home for 15 years we are not upside down, struggling to make payments and large utility payments for space we have no need for.
Just in general there are good people out there less fortunate than we who are hurting by the state of the economy right now, but nearly everyone is concerned. We are too. Our depression closet is stacked and ready just in case. - Reply to this comment
