"The history books will show the true brilliance of our President George W. Bush: a man who rose from poverty, unemployment, and alcoholism to achieve the highest appointment in our country."--neoconnie.

A fine display of sarcasm and an amusing wit!

Excuse me? I'm not a blindfolded, Bush backing, ignorant slob like those two are. (Or should I say you three are?)

Neither are they.

Let this be a lesson for us all...

If before an election, rumors are swirling around that your candidate is a simple-minded moron, believe them!

Bush doesn't need to get his ratings higher, he's a lame duck.

A presidential home run is getting elected, surviving your term(s), getting reelected and having your party (vice president normally) win the next election.

Since FDR, (who hit a double) the only president to do this was Reagan.

Arguably, Bush has yet to honestly hit a single.

"Can Bush Raise His Ratings?"
Maybe, if he resigns his presidency, restores the power to the people, goes directly to jail with cheney and the other crooks and turns over evidence to all the behind the scenes deals.
Oh and pays back all the money taken from the treasury.

Why should Bush care? He%u2019s not going to raise them anyway and it frees him to make unpopular decisions. It should be a interesting time until the end of his term.

"Can Bush Raise His Ratings?"

His commutation of Scooter's sentence suggests he doesn't care.

Another 9-11 style attack in 2008 should do the trick for the Repubs who DO care.

Question is: will they go there?

We know the Anthrax attacks that followed 9-11 were Right wing crazies pretending to be Muslims, so it certaintly isn't beyond them. I suspect something will happen...
