Everyone knows that the truly well off can''t do enough for people that they feel are less fortunate. This poster writes that she is worried about what her peers would think which quite obviously shows her to be a complete imposter. For gopsoccermom, your riches are all in your head, a case of wishfulness and just shows us all how truly poor you really are.

We had to pay for the invasion and occupations for oil. It worked out perfectly for the oil companies as you can see. How are the failed GOP policies working out for We the People?

Only poor people jumped from windows and stood in soup lines during the great depression. If they were still rich, they would never need to do such.

Nowadays, have-nots do home invasions and take whatever they feel like from haves. Happens nearly EVERY day in my city. As the gulf widens, soccermom, YOUR turn draws closer. Don''t be an ostrich. There''s a monster on the loose. Get a gun and a ********* of ammo.

To say that Arabs are "offended" by a
slight to their ego is like saying
you are moved to immoderate sensations
by a Taser to your bottom.

All boards read "Oil Hike Stumps Experts"

So, here''s as good a reason as any why
Arabs refuse to pump more oil:

America has to be punished for the war
crime of invading an Arab country and
for an American president putting an
Arab leader on TV being checked for fleas.

Doesn''t exactly overwhelm with oil''s technical
jargon but if you think Arabs everywhere have forgotton the spectical as we have you dont know
Arabs, leastwise offended Arabs.

And you clearly dont know the memory of an
Arab. Fourteen-hundred years now and they''re
still settling differences that only
Arabs remember.

bajajon, OPEC will only laugh you out of your SUV if
you put the pressure on. No longer is the USA either
a major producer (2% of total world output) or consumer (2nd place to China and India is rapidly pulling up the race course.) In this era of diminishing supplies (peak oil is not a myth) and exponentially increasing demand, oil will go to the highest bidder. Even as I type, China is negotiating with my own government (Canada) to build a pipeline from the Ft. McMurray oil sands to the west coast.
Considering that at the present time Canada is the
major supplier of petroleum to America (19 %: Saudi is in second place)that brings home the point that
oil is a commodity and any one is the customer.

We need a nationwide work and travel stoppage.

Someone please start a website to co-ordinate it. Post it everywhere. E-mail it everywhere.

Do it NOW!

Pick a date. Start with a week or so....see if that has an effect. Independence Day would certainly be appropriate. June 28-July 6, Sat thru following Sun.

Spend time at home with family, pray, or not, think about our plight. We gotta do SOMETHING if we want to hang on to our way of living. Or we can just bow down and accept our plight. Our choice.

Lot of good young Americans have laid down their lives and bodies to defend the American way of life. Its the least we should do.

Higher oil prices are causing RUNAWAY inflation. It is literally starving people to death in countries where they can no longer pay for food and it is a portense of things to come......................here.

We are in deep doo.

Who has the know-how to start the ball rolling? You would be a true patriot and a hero now, legend later.

Do it TODAY!

How is giving me the link to DOE supposed to nullify the basic truth behind my assertion:

"Supply and demand"... what a laff. This has been anticipated for decades. IT IS CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE.

Your assertions are based on lies you have somehow accepted.

Therefore you are operating on false information you believe to be true.

The US government is NOT in the energy business. One of your beliefs is that it is.

The US government has been involve HEAVILY in Energy research and development. One of your beliefs is that it has NOT been.

Criminal? What law has been broken?

I could go on but this should be enough.

Who''s idea was it to invest american capital in China & India? Now their demand is through the roof, our manufacturing plants are closed or are closing and we have to do some serious a&& kissing if we ever want to compete again. They''re sucking in the oil as fast as they can get it and far out pacing our manufacturing with slave and child labor as opposed to the USA with camparatrively high priced union labor with health benefits and pension funds. We investred ourselves right out of affordability. Funny, there were many who predicted this a long time ago but were widely ignored becuase they''ll also be buying products made in the USA - yeah right. I say take NAFTA and shove it and strip China of it''s most favored status. Time to look out for #1 again.

We elected the US Govt to apply sane, sustainable energy policy. they have had 7 years to do it and have not even begun.

No alternative energy initiatives, no help for the middle class who produced the wealth being stolen by the corporations with the help of scoundrels and cowards we installed as our "representatives". Oil war is the method that the Bush / Cheney gang chose to combat the effects of corporate sponsored globalization......

If you have mutual funds and you''re making money, that''s oil profits and you ARE Big Oil!! Share holders need to speak out....yeah right, like that''s ever going to happen - NOT likely! The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

However, we don''''t seem to know who the BIG Speculators are--and they certainly must be getting filthy rich from the game they are playing.

WE THE PEOPLE most certainly DO know who they are. Do some research about the oil supply chain. It''s public knowledge.

Avoid self proclaimed experts like your friend.

Avoid rumors and propaganda.

Be a real tough sell when it comes to facts.

Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

People are BS artists from birth and it''s not bad or good - it''s just the way it is.

If, as oil analysts and executives state, the oil price increases are due to increased demand from China and India, then stop buying consumer products made in India and China. Then, they will have to cut production, which will reduce demand for oil. that may have an effect on driving prices down in the long term. Do not buy products from there.

That means no Walmart or Sam''s Club!! Lets see if people actually practice that one...
