Stricter Gun Control Laws After Virginia Tech Shooting Would Be A Hard Sell
- Mudrose, there are about 300 million people living in America, if about 150 million of them are women then that would mean on average every woman has 6 abortions per year, which includes the elderly and children. I think you meant 1 million...try proof reading next time.

I wonder what the murder rate by handgun is compared to that of box cutters?

If we ban all guns leaving murderes with only box cutters, the percentage will go up drastically don't you think? - Reply to this comment
- What do we do about lost or forgotten guns? What do we do about lost or unknown owners? What do we do about gun buyers with mental disease? We have to keep those three things apart from each other, or we get terrifying results.

- Mudrose,
Yes indeed some of us consider a breathing, walking, talking person superior to a fertilized egg. Crazy? Maybe... But by your own argument, are you suggesting that women who have abortions should be tried for murder, or just the doctors? And why is it that only American lives matter in Iraq? Really now... isn't time to just admit that the abortion issue is just a ruse? - Reply to this comment
- I agree--I find it odd that people can say they are grieving over these 33 yet sanction the daily deaths of many more men, women and children in Iraq without a thought.

See now this makes me mad. Every year close to 1 billion abortions are performed in this country. You people don't even bat an eyelash. You call the war immoral, senseless, but killing the unborn is a woman's right. Right? It's not a woman's right - women give life, not take it. Don't look into the psychological repercussions of abortion on women either. Well Planned Parenthood wouldn't want you to, since it would damage their funding. Feminists don't want you to, since their advocacy is "no men". Don't get up there and say the war is immoral, when right here in our own country this is what the left advocates. Abortion, euthanasia - Terry Schiavo - embryonic stem cell research - kill an embyro to say a life - how twisted is that? Kill a life to save a life - sounds like cannibalism. And in case you haven't really thought about it -- we aren't killing anyone in Iraq other than insurgents and Al Qaeda. Who's killing the kids there? Guess. And for all you gun control advocates - your government cannot protect you all of the time - as in 9/11 - our forefathers knew that -- they were revolutionaries and they understand the right to bear arms better than all of you. Cheez. First Amendment rights going down the tubes and you just want to chip away at the Second now. What bull. - Reply to this comment

To some, Timothy McVeigh and his ilk are a problem. Or did he immigrate to this country from Oklahoma? - Reply to this comment
- "No gun law on this planet can stop evil."
Laws against child porn do not stop pedophelia, laws against drugs do not stop drug use, laws against murder do not stop murder. If that's the extent of your argument against gun regulation, why not just endorse anarchy? - Reply to this comment

- "Every anti-gun person will be distorting the facts..."
A kid with mental health issues, who had been referred to psychological counseling, walked into a gun shop, put down a credit card, and walked out a proud gun owner. A few weeks later, he blows away 32 innocent people. No distortion necessary. It's not "anti-gun" to think that it should be harder to buy an instrument designed to take human life then say, buy marijuana, get a drivers license, or even buy cigarettes in some states. - Reply to this comment
