Another journalist who pines for the previous dumbing down of America era? Just because George W. Bush and his Party lowered the bar, doesn't mean the American voters can't raise it back up again. That said, shouldn't real journalists be focusing more on the hard work of analyzing President Obama's POLICY IDEAS for their readers, rather than trying to LOWER THE PRESIDENTIAL BAR again? No matter how many jump shots he can make in a row, I have a feeling this President, his family, and the majority of American voters (versus some journalists) are all wise enough to know it is his POLICIES COMPARED TO HIS OPPONENTS' POLICIES that will determine if his "popularity" rating endures and he serves a 2nd term during this complicated moment in world history.

After the the eight disasterous years with a clumsy, incompetent George Bush as President, anyone would look spectacular.
The fact that Obama can speak in complete sentences is extremely irritating to repubs.
