No, he is what a President should be smart and doesn't shoot from the hip with no knowledge of what he is doing.

The problem is the last President was so imperfect and worthless that anything would seem to be perfect.

Another thing, I don't think you are going to have to worry about getting our kind of "Universal" health care. I watched that program last night with Obama talking about the health care plan, and he said that he wanted something that was "uniquely American". Well, Good Luck, because you are going to need it. Anything "American" is corrupt.

He is 'hip, slick and cool' but near perfect. Hardly. But than again can anyone name off the top of their head, any President that was even close to perfect? It is just that Obama is probably more visible, because of his race, that he is being scrutinized. It doesn't help however, when he plays like a rock star. I just hope he never has the audacity to start believing everything people say about him. Either positive or negative.

Here are some facts about Canada's Health Care Obama won't tell you about:

* A 16% higher cancer death rate in Canada

* An eight week wait for radiation therapy for cancer patients

* 42% of Canadians die of colon cancer vs. 31% in the US

* Cutbacks in diagnostic testing

* The best meds for chemo therapy are not available

* No way out of the system; you can't even pay for services yourself

Why is health care so bad north of the border? Because there are too few doctors to treat everybody and cost savings -- which slice medical incomes -- drive doctors out of the profession. When Obama calls for a 21% cut in Medicare fees to physicians and a $2500 cut in health costs per capita, that is exactly the kind of downward spiral in medical care quality he will bring to the United States. By making too few doctors cover too many patients, he will cut the quality of care to everybody.



Very little of what you said is fact. No one in Canada wants out of the system, and we are all paying for the service ourselves.

It is very unlikely that we have more people dying of cancer than the U.S. because everyone has health care here. We don't have centres closing down and leaving patient without care, like you do. We don't have people dying because of lack of health care. There has to be many people dying of cancer in the U.S. because of lack of health care.

As for waits, don't believe everything you read. My two sister-in-laws have had breast cancer and they didn't wait no 8 weeks for radiation. And theirs wasn't a fast spreading cancer either.

I also do not know of anyone waiting long for testing. The problem is that maybe one person might have had to wait for something, for some particular reason, then it's blown way out of proportion.
