Politico: Dramatic Revolt Against White House Is High Stake Gambit; Cheney Told Senators It's "Herbert Hoover" Time
- The GOP`s time was here,it brought us where we are NOW
The 40 hour work week, pensions, work safety, health insurance,a fair day`s pay for an eight hour day,...all because of labor unions,....Who are Despised by GOP members and BIGOTS All Over ! - Reply to this comment
- Why does this article fail to mention the UAW''s (auto labor union) decision to walk out on negotiations?
Honestly, liberal propagandists are so transparent!
The labor union leadership is being unreasonable, and union members could find themselves unemployed VERY SOON. This has happened so many times before. The union bosses keep demanding and demanding, until they destroy the jobs they are supposed to protect!
Labor unions are the dinosaurs in the middle of the room. Their time has come and gone, but they refuse to die. Now the unions expect US taxpayers to pitch in and pay their union retirement/medical/etc. benefits? Holy sh*t! I say NO!
NO! NO! NO! - Reply to this comment

- It appears to me the Republicans are more interested in destroying the UAW than they are in saving 3,000,000 jobs and the indrustry that saved us during World War II. Oh, Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!

- This beast that we know as the republican party is dying. As it thrashes around in the throes of death it has begun to eat it''s own. What will the new opposition party look like... what will it be called? I am betting that a great deal of the republican senators and congressmen will soon start calling themselves ''Libertarians''. It''s a safe bet that a number of ''former'' republicans will be on the ballots as independents, libertarians in 2010... or maybe some will start calling themselves democrats.

- Let the Republicans filibuster! Call their bluffs! Harry Reid is too timid. Why are the Democrats so afraid of the filibuster? I''''d love to see the jackass Republican senators blather on for days about nothing. I''''m sure the rest of the country would also like to see the senseless jerks wag their tongues.

It seems that Harry needs to grow him a pair. Give the Southern Republican Senators enough time to talk on about their "plan". It is a sure thing they will antagonize the rust belt voters to kick all the republicans out of that area - Reply to this comment
