Hey Ribbie-14,

Ease up on the gramatically correct ***. None of us are impressed.

What are you an out of work school teacher or something?

Give us a break and stop avoiding the issue as your pal Hussein Obama has done for the past 18 months.

Posted by nolle61

I''m sure you''re NOT impressed. Nothing about ACCURACY impresses REPUBLICAN''Ts. Just read the distortions that they post here.

Speakinup21,

I don''t think all McCain supporters are racists, but I still can''t understand how anyone would vote for the GOP after all that has happened. I''m struggling to understand it.

Something about mean spirited and racist. Probably having to do with housing loans.
Posted by Speakinup21

Housing loans yes. Consider the facts that other fiscal responsibility efforts were greeted with cries of "MEAN SPIRITED" and "RACIST" by those popularly termed as "Liberals" or "Democrats".

I hate to hear the term "Liberal" applied to what I think are "Bleeding Heart Liberals" or "Carpetbagger/Mercenary Democrats".

True Liberals and Conservative agree more than disagree.

Just to provide full disclosure I was a firm Democrat until a couple of months and had been since starting to vote in the late 60''s.

Their must be a Balance-Point

Taxes to low, not enough revenue
Taxes to high, not enough revenue

Their should be a formula to find the right Balance

I think I would err on the side of low taxes

Then you would have to cut spending to match reality so their wouldn%u2019t be a deficit.

Speakinup21,

I never said I didn''t accept people on individual merit. My husband is white. But, people also have to stop taking things so personally when people do mention things about racism. I never said all whites. But, there are issues still. Look at the electoral map. The whole south is red. It wasn''t like this 40 years ago and it is like this only because of the civil rights movement.

OK, genius,
His company wasn''t being taxed- HE was. Last time I looked there was a difference between taxes on businesses and individuals. If the individual makes a profit on his business of over $250,000 and keeps it as income during a calender year, he will pay more under the Obama tax plan, the same as if you or I worked as an employee and earned a gross of that amount or over. The BUSINESS IS NOT BEING TAXED-THE INDIVIDUALS''S INCOME IS- GOT IT?

Speakinup21,

Colin Powell also thought about running in the 1990s. He received death threats and then his wife refused to let him do it. Slavery ended but what allowed slavery to happen didn''t end. There are pyschological issues going on in many blacks and whites. It''s something that is passed on from generation to generation. We are still affected by something that happened in 1776 and we are still affected by things that happend in 1966 or 1866. The south is filled with monuments to such.

Speakinup21,

Single parent families is what happens when black men can''t support their families. My grandfather was broken after this happened. He did try.

Speakinup21,

This is the thing. It would have been fine if it was just some crazy people, but some people in the law enforcement were involved. He couldn''t even go to the law for help and he paid taxes.

No, I meant hihts. It''s a perfectly good word which decribes the sound of a REPUBLICAN''T presidential campaign circling the drain. Listen...you can hear it now.

Speakinup21,

Speaking on personal responsibilities, my grandfather wanted to start a store in the 1960s. He saved a lot of money and bought a bit of land. Some people found out about it and decided he wanted too much for a black man. They were going to kill him. Someone had a conscious and told him and my entire family had to escape in the night. He was bitter about it. Yes. It was terrorism. Yes.

I wish it had all ended with slavery. I wish.

McCain is correct. His negative ads are backfiring on the undecideds and only appear to affect his already won base electorate. Give it up. Desperate people. First their campaign was bankrupt of money, now they are bankrupt of morals. Sure continue to play that oh so subtle race card using code words and innuendos. Go ahead. McCain has a good sense to him. Unfortunately he has let his Rove subordinates (same ones who Swiftboated McCain when running against GW)in to his campaign. His pact with the devil is complete.

I don''t know what he meant by they, he didn''t say McCain but he could have meant many of his wacko supporters who have done just that.

You are in denial. This country STILL has a race problem.

A self-employed Plumber asks Obama why he would raise taxes on his Business.
Obama replied that what he wanted to do is spread the wealth around.

Obama forgot where he was,

That would have been well received by his Chicago mentors.

Posted by drcool4u

Actually, Obama''s tax proposal gives tax breaks to small businesses like the one you describe. Can you get ANYTHING right? (stupid question, just read his stuff)

Latrocinor,

Wright gave up a student deferment in the 1960s to fight for this country. It doesn''t mean that you hate America if you say GD America. If actually could mean the exact opposite. This country I love, but I know it is not perfect, I know we have still a long way to go. And, yes, there are some people in this country who make me very angry. But, that''s not because I don''t love this country. Not at all.

If McCain had gone against his advisors sooner than now, he''d actually have stood a chance of winning. We are SICK of negative politics! The Rep. rallies are getting out of control because they are angry and frustrated that they aren''t WINNING.
