- McCain needs to rise above bickering. He must publicly announce what he will do to help the economy. My suggestions.
1. Announce that he will present submit a Plan for Energy Independence within 100 days of his inaugration that will reduce import of foreign oil by 30% by the end of his first term. Wind energy will be an essential part of the Plan as it is a low hanging fruit and immediately provides energy. He will appoint T Boone Pickens as a consultant. This will create jobs. The
2. Delay tax reduction for two years to reduce deficit
3. Eliminate all pork (earmarks) from the budget, save $18 billion dollars. Sorry Obama for your $932 million dollars that you wasted.
4. Negotiate with Iraq that Iraq pay 50% of the war expenses; savings 60-70 billion dollars per annum.
5. Freeze the budget of all agencies except defense and national security for one year. Reduce deficit
6. Loan money to Manufacturing companies at zero interest, for creating jobs.
7. Help manufacturing comapnies through EX-IM agency to help US exports (within limits allowable by WTO)
8. Open a new agency where American Citizens can submit ideas for reducing expenses and for reporting waste. Make each citizen a part of the solution.
