How do you determine what is excessive? Do all industries submit to this rape, or only oil?

No, it''s primarily the ones that have broken Constitutional law against monopolies.

And because oil is such a precious commodity, it needs to be nationalized just like most countries do around the world.

Take the profit out of it because it''s then parasitical to the public and beneficial only to Wall Street and the "City of London".

Also Government is easier to demand that they invest in the demise of their own Government created industry because there''s no profit in it just like any other infrastucture program.

I am a Conservative to preserve all that is good in our constitution, a Radical to remove all that is bad. I seek to preserve property and to respect order, and I equally decry the appeal to the passions of the many or the prejudices of the few.

It wasn''''''''t his personal problems he was talking about although it obviously had some reference.

He was talking about Government and allowing "bankers who are more powerfull then standing armies".

He''''s not going to tax these oil companies the way you think.

He''''s going to wait unti every quarter ends and then take a percentage of those "record profits" stolen at the pump by illegal monopoly and hand it back to the people in $1000.00 rebate checks.

Now that to me sounds like a GREAT IDEA!!!

Yeah, and by the next quarter they''ll just get it back from you.

Sad how people can be taken in by scams.

Constitution of the United States : Preamble

We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Looks to me as though Health Care might fit in quite nicely with the U.S. Constitution!!! Go Obama!

Strange, Obscamma is all for taking your Constitution and burying it in global authority.

Shame to see so many people fooled by a scam.

Agree 100% - if it hurts the economy, it hurts the people. Which I am not sure why Obama would steal from the oil companies who would just pass down the hurt to the consumers.

power is a trust; that we are accountable for its exercise

That''s why we''re gonna try a Democrat in the White House for awhile ... Bush, Cheney and the Republicans needs to be held accountable for their abuse of power and their lack of effort with national and global leadership.

The greenies sold us on Ethanol a few years ago and now children are starving throughout the third world because of the high cost of basic staple items. How about atomic energy? It produces 70+% of France''''s power generation... We need solutions that work today, not politico hooey promises. Please be smart enough to realize when you are being sold snake oil.

Well I guarantee that you that unless you are trading in those Federal Reserve Notes in for precious metals, you will not be able to retire with any sort of dignity because of all the inflation created by "Republican Suicide Bombers".
