I''ll never argue that point, and I think most of the regulars on here can vouch that when I leave a discussion, I also leave my thanks and respect for anyone who stands up for their rights.
I do my very best not to insult anyone personally, but it happens, I know. I''m not proud of those moments. Of course titletrack can kiss my Sailor-***.
But for you and WellHell(Wookie, even though we disagree in a much more volatile way), I respect you guys.
So, with that said, I''m on my way out.
Hadenough, keep up the good work. I''ll get back to you on my questions about the Navy at another point.
Thanks and good night all. - Reply to this comment

Please forgive the free advice...But once you get in the Navy, my experience was that they use the word "respect" as a euphimism for "fear" a lot. - Reply to this comment
- That''''s kinda the point you make and the "others" do not understand. If we "sell out" to the fearmongers and give in. Then we have not "lost" who we are and what we stand for. Nope. We have GIVEN IT AWAY!

Fearmongers? FEARMONGERS? Did you THINK that was just a movie you watched where two buildings full of people DIED? Those were real people, Sir! - Reply to this comment

So all of Iraq is guilty? Anyone with dark skin should have their blood strung everywhere?

If you support the the practice of strapping bombs on people and killing them for whatever perceived reason...you deserve to die just as fast as the ones you killed. - Reply to this comment

It''s sad that we are supposed to be considered THE world power, but instead we sell our souls to the fear mongering, we hand over our dignity and respect to the weak, and violate the true nature of what this country is supposed to be. THE world Power. - Reply to this comment

I know.
Look - I don''t REALLY believe anyone on this site is a jerk, or a terrorist supporter, or hates America. Obama doesn''t, and neither does McCain.
Let''s face it, they are in a desperate struggle to be the most powerful person in the world. I think God we can do that without wars.
I think you and I probably have many things in common - we just don''t agree on how to go about fixing the problems we do have.
But Rather jtyler271, let''s not insult each other - unless of course the other guy is slinging mud and that''s what you feel like doing at the moment.
I''d rather explore what the opposition has to say. IT''s good to listen to other points of view - even when we think they are crazy. - Reply to this comment
- Like I said, Jtyler, come kill one of mine, and your assss is grass...and it''''s not going to pretty when I''''m done...there''''s gonna be your blood strung everywhere I can sling it!

- Back to your challenge, I do not and never will condone torture. The Geneva Convention makes it clear that torture is illegal.

Most Gitmo prisoners were rounded up in the middle of the night in random raids that required little intelligence. In other words, if he looked like a duck.... - Reply to this comment
- It''''s plain and simple. Torture is illegal. The Bush administration, with McCain''''s help, has found a loop hole by calling it Advanced Interrogation Techniques or some other such garbage. But we all know it''''s torture.
If you want to tell your children or grandchildren the story about how we''''re the good guys even though we had to find a loop hole to condone the same thing that we condemn other countries for doing, fine.
But it makes me sick.

- jtyler271 - Not really eye for an eye.
I like to think of it as not handicapping ourselves when dealing with a ruthless group of terrorists.
I mean face it, these guys WANT to die. HOWEVER, I don''t believe any of them want that process to be a protracted one, and will talk like a tabacco auctionist to get to the 72 virgins and away from the water board. - Reply to this comment

Not nearly as fatal as when they beheaded our soldiers and then burned their bodies. - Reply to this comment
- jtyler271 - ok - that''s good to hear.
So what''d you think on the scenario I sent you ?
I mean, there are time torture is warrented, don''t you think ?
I really don''t think we can irritate the jihadist any more than we have. sawing heads off is about as bad as it gets, and they did that several times to captured US soldiers when the FINALLY killed them.
If they give no quarter - they get no quarter. And since they don''t seem ready to change their ways - too bad for abdula if he gets caught. - Reply to this comment
