Politico: Campaign Takes A New Turn, Accuses Democrat Of Putting Politics Before National Interest In Ads, Statements
- Barack Obama''s bid to place a new Social Security tax on very high incomes is either a bold or foolhardy plan, depending on who critiques it. But its potential impact is almost impossible to gauge because he is providing few details on basic questions such as what the tax rate might be, what types of income would be taxed and how the taxpayers'' benefits would be affected.

Obama is a good speaker but he is also a man without any substance. His speeches are all very vague. He doesn''t want to flip-flop anymore by making a commitment on any issue. - Reply to this comment
- I think Obama is too presumptuous and arrogant. Let''''s kick his shiny black @ss back to the senate.

Its possible he might have a shiny white @ss! The other side of the coin with electing a Republican President is that America will never know the real deal on the endless scandals that plagued the Bush years, they will be buried forever, glossed and covered over by a John McBush McSame term and a McCain that will also pardon Bush if it comes to that, not to mention more Conservative Judges on the Supreme Court with Roe V. Wade pushing up daises at that point. - Reply to this comment
- Obama organized a free rock concert for a crowd of 72,000 in Portland, Oregon.
Obama organized a free rock concert for a crowd of 200,000 in Berlin, Germany.
Obama was dead wrong about the success of the surge in Iraq.
Obama failed to visit wounded US soldiers in Germany because he wanted to go to the gym.
What do the above statements tell you. It says that Obama would make a better rock concert organizer than Commander-In-Chief of this country. - Reply to this comment
- A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows Obama was ahead 47%-44% among registered voters, down from a 6-percentage point lead he had last month. McCain led 49%-45% among likely voters, reversing a 5-point Obama lead among that group. In both cases, the margin of error is +/%u20144 points.
The poll that found Democrat Barack Obama''s highly publicized foreign trip has not broadened confidence in his ability to be commander of the U.S. military and suggested Obama''s trip may have helped energize voters who favor McCain.

- McCain dishonored our the men and women in uniform and our country by sending us to war without reading the NIE and making sure he received all information prior to putting our nation and their lives at risk.

I think McCain would be a very sorry excuse for a Commander in Chief! - Reply to this comment
- McCain is a Veteran, but he has no record or ever supporteing Veterans. His record shows just the opposite. He has used them to advance his own political ambitions.
McCain has dishonored the men and women in uniform by using them as political pawns in his campaign.
If he had a better record of being an honorable man himself, he would not have to be making up stories about Obama. - Reply to this comment
- tbweb- NO, It is about the two candidates running for the Commander in Chief position. If you think "any Democrat" will change things- that is just plain naive- BAD CHANGE CAN BE: VERY,VERY WORSE... TOO.

Being U.S. President is more than just the Commander and Chief role, although it`s an important role. Sen. John McCain having said he doesn''t know much about economic issues is running the risk of being a one issue, one dimensional candidate! The U.S. Military is America`s hammer and like Pres. Bush, Sen. McCain is giving the impression he will over use that hammer singing tunes like bomb bomb Iran which was not funny considering current tensions. The main problem with too much focus on the Commander and Chief role "only" is that it emphasizes the U.S. hammer too much and like the saying goes, when all you use is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. We''ve already had too much of that, it`s better to have a well rounded President and right now the focus needs to be on the U.S. economy, not invading, bombing or attacking anyone, not to mention we`re broke with debt up to our eyeballs. - Reply to this comment
- I see all the nutcases who are getting paid 10 cents per post from the McCain campaign have come and spread their vile garbage all over the blogs this morning.
I hope these people don''t have any children, they make you feel sleazy just from reading their ignorant and false comments. - Reply to this comment
- I know my fellow Americans better than anyone else and they will not vote for a fraud who wants to use taxpayers money to kill innocent lives. This November, Americans are going to unite to kick Obama''''s shiny black @ss back to the senate.
