I don''t give a *** whether or not he wears a flag pin, puts his hand over his heart, sings the National Anthem, or drapes himself in an American flag. This is the United States of America and the Constitution does not require American citizens to do any of these things. I am not a supporter of Senator Obama''s and will certainly not vote for him, but he does not have to prove to me that he is patriotic by doing any of the above mentioned things.

Being Black does not automatically make me a supporter; he has not earned my vote just because he talks a good game and we have the same complexion. What Senator Obama has shown me is that he will say/do anything to get votes-I know this is what politicians do, but isn''t he supposed to bring CHANGE? I''m not sure what he has done that reduces grown men/women to tears, but my eyes are still dry.

As for the uproar over the article in the New Yorker, get over yourselves folks!!! It is SATIRE!!! I know this concept is foreign to some of you lugnuts, but read the article; it shouldn''t be that far above your heads. What a bunch of hypocrites - we can disparage every other politician, but all of a sudden we have someone who is off limits? This is the rough and tumble of American politics - if you can''t take the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen.

NO I don''t have any Klan friends! You are seriously dilusional if you believe that most white people even know anyone who belongs to the Klan. You are a racist and you certainly don''t practice Christianity with all that hatred in your heart. What is it you think...that whites have some magic wand that makes their lives wonderful and yours not just because you are black. We have problems with our children, we have financial difficulties, we have are hearts broken by the ones we love sometimes, we have illnesses and we are just trying to live our lives not plotting against the black man all the time. How would you like it if you woke up in the morning and were told your ancestors did something you knew nothing about and tried to blame you for it? How would you like to be browbeat and accused for something you didn''t do and thoughts you didn''t even have? You need to worry about your own life. Stop blaming everybody else. Stop stiring up strife all the time.

According to David Remnick''s defense of the article with Wolf Bitzer of CNN, I ponder on the following:
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2008/07/14/tsr.remnick.newyorker.cnn?iref=videosearch

I would like to know would the same satirizing principles David Remnick''s and the New Yorker magazine "agrees to" be as satirical as Nazi lies and misconceptions of a German American who is running for President of the United States, to only be depicted on the cover of The New Yorker in the oval office as extremist, in front of a picture of Adolf Hitler giving each other a ''fist-bump''? If not, then why should Obama and Michelle be considered an obnoxious exception?

Enough said, THIS IS NOT SATIRICAL or FUNNY, despite The New Yorker''s satirical history, liberal views and support for Obama!... Thank You!

I know whites that have racist views and convictions so it''s absurd for you to say that you don''t have any Klan friends, just be truthful. once again whites created American racism and everything African Americans do is a reaction to that racist institution. if you feel as though I''m a racist you are just a disillusioned as the rest of the lambs. all I said was watch and learn and you called me a racist. check into your own heart, I accept everyone as my brother/sister in Christ until he/she shows me different.
God Bless us all,
Kemah.

Does not matter that there is evidence to debunk there fear and lies, they just see it as the easiest way to cover for their deep rooted_______________!(whatever they they desire!)

People believe what they want to believe. This isn''t really about Obama''s race or religion any more than all the lies and mean jokes are about McCains age. There have actually been people on here who have made fun and derided McCain''s time as a POW. It''s all about politics. It''s shameless on both accounts.

mimiluvsgabi....Why do you insist on posting the same lies over and over? If you insist on posting lies try to find some that don''t have clear hard core evidence of being lies. There is film evildence available at various sites on the internet that show Obama doing the things you claim he refuses to do. If it is your goal to descredit Obama, don''t you realize that when you post obvious lies it does not help your cause? All it does is discredit you and make you look like a fool. I''m sure you don''t want that so why don''t you stop with the lies?

if you don''t believe it just ask some of your black friends, ask some of your klan friends.

Ask some of my KLAN friends? I don''t have any "klan" friends....never even met a klansman. Thank you for so eloquently making my point though. Go ahead, keep your ugly racist feelings towards whites and see where it gets you. Why are you even voting for Obama...you certainly don''t share his vision of unity.

"Mr. Obama will not salute our flag or swear on a bible! Two very basic American traditions. Let''''s get real here OK!

Posted by mimiluvsgabi at 11:06 AM : Jul 15, 2008"

He is shown saluting the flag in a video when he is leading the congress in the pledge of allegiance in 2004. Obama was sworn into office 3 times on a bible.

You are thinking of Kieth Ellison, Muslim congressman from MN who was sworn in on Thomas Jefferson''s personal Koran.

"Obama is not even a good speaker without the teleprompter.

Posted by johnmcsame at 11:16 AM : Jul 15, 2008"

LOL, he speaks all the time without a teleprompter and he speaks very well. I saw him at a rally in MN, he spoke in front of 20K people without a teleprompter for 45 minutes. I was impressed enough with his sincerity , intelligence and ability to communicate (a capability sorely lacking in the present oval office squatter) to switch from supporting Hillary whom I had been supporting financially for over a year.

If you are trying to insinuate that McCain does not use a teleprompter you are sadly mistaken. Some of McCains more memorable gaffs come from misreading his teleprompter.

It''s a shame that this is what America has come to. Our economy is suffering right around us and has been for the last 8 years. Yet people are steady trying to condemn the ones who want to make it better. It shouldn''t matter what color or religion they are. All I can say is that racisim still exists, no white president was ever treated like this and I want the proof that show if they were. It''s a shame. I think Amerca is really missing the whole picture. t''s sad just sad.
