Obyfor, CT is not a swing state and heavily Democratic.

It is not the state to set your hat on as an indicator.

States to watch: Florida, Virginia, Ohio and Michigan.

Ioweign, yup.

McCain is going to run on character, experience and patriotism.

Small groups fit that style. And, he will not have the money to compete on the TV ads.

No doubt - nice set up meeting with only those attending from the local Republican party - they had those kind arrangements down south...

How many of you heard this:

One day last week Sen. "OsamaObama" foolishly challenged Sen. McCain to reveal how well females working for him are being paid.

Turns out, females earn more on average than males in John McCain''''s camp.

Females working for Sen. "OsamaObama" earn on average considerably less than men in his camp. Only one of the five employees who work for him earning more than $100.000 are female.

LOL!!!! Suppose this goes a long ways in explaining why Sen. "OsamaObama" is so terrified of having to take this "feeble old man" on in a townhall debate format that favors the more experienced and quicker of wit.

Every time Obama steps out from behind the teleprompter he seems to be left wearing his butt for a hat!!

What a sexist piece of ka,ka!!!

ROTFLMGTBO!!!

ts about as liberal as you get. McCain losing in ct is like saying he is losing in mass meaningless

Posted by alanrobisch2 at 08:56 PM : Jul 02, 2008

I wan''t trying to sttribute that to have any national meaning. But please show me when the last poll in CT had such a wide difference. That''s all. Got it. ''As neocon as you get'' when you want to take a staement of fact and make something else out of it.

Profiles in Leadership:
Obama Vs. McCain Part 1:

The year is 2005
The situation is high troop loss in Iraq

Obama: PULL OUT TROOPS AND SURRENDER NOW!

McCain: SEND IN MORE TROOPS AND WIN!

McCain champions and wins support for General Petraeous''''s "Surge"

Result?
2008, US troop losses in Iraq are lower than at any time since war began, even less than the small scale conflict in Afganistan.

If your girlfriend has an unwanted pregnancy, you can''''''''t sit around and complain that it never should have happened. You have to be a man and look to the future.

In the above analogy, Obama would be another absentee daddy !!!

zoe, being associated with Bush is as much media (Democratic leaning) as reality.

He has differences.

However, as per the discussion here about WSJ article today, Obama is now leaning towards Bush to try to get some Bush votes away from McCain.

I%u2019m voting Democrat because we have more oil underground in the USA then in all the Muslim countries combined. If McCain wins and begins drilling and building Nuke plants, the speculators will see that America is on a path to independence, the markets will dump oil futures and the price will drop.
Just Look at Brazil! 100%energy independent. Offshore drilling with ethanol production and Brazil imports ZERO muslim oil!!!!

We can%u2019t let that happen here. Vote Obama 2008 and do your part to keep us dependant on foreign oil!!
Obama Akbar!!

I can understand all these hyphenated-Americans on here are sniveling over John ruffing up one of their pinko kin, but I''m tickled to hear he roughed the wormy little commie up.

I simply wish he wouldn''t deny it. Instead take pride in manhandling this pinko pieces of ka,ka.

I understand John''s motivation, since long about ''88 or ''89 the former Speaker of the House Jim Wright (D-Tx) attempted to shake my hand. I didn''t rough the old bastridge up, but due to him and all his pinko Democrat buds in Congress playing kissy kissy with these Sandinista commies I simply made sure he understood my thoughts as I brushed away his outstretched hand and walked on past him.

zoe, the McCain campaign issues were brought up during the early part of the primary season when he was far behind and were found to not be an issue. He kept with his low spend rate and high on personal appearance style of campaigning.

We will find out if McCain''''s campaign style fits a national campaign.

What is the population of a town hall meeting? 200-300

And the election is in November...

Newt Gingrich is launching a new 527 $40 million (Pickens) swift boat group in trying to Blitzkrieg Obama. First McCain needs to learn how to use a cell phone, in case Newt calls.

=============================

I''m liking this....Newt raising $40 million to swiftboat "OsamaObama" and another $40 million from the NRA to swiftboat "OsamaObama"...Man these swiftboaters are sure some outstanding patriots that''s for sure.

J, on Webb, I do not understand his motivation as I doubt his platoon leader son would appreciate another Iraq/Afghan tour with no reenlistments to support him.........

Maybe, Webb is looking for a VP spot as he has been getting a lot of media invites lately.

formr, if the opponent wasn''t Obama, I doubt McCain would be doing as well as he is (statistical tie).

I kind of look at this as a holding election.

Neither candidate is ideal.

These poll results are VERY interesting to me.

Posted by ofbyfor1 at 08:55 PM : Jul 02, 2008

Obama has been battling Hillary for the last year and a half and only has a month battling McFeeble.

You''ll see historic numbers out of the November election.

I wonder how many Repubs have considered what having a candidate who would be 76 years old at the end of his term really means......
