Politico: Charles B. Rangel Was Behind Clinton's Exit From The Presidential Stage
- TruUSA, that "secret" meeting May 31 was broadcast in full on TV!!! it was open to as many as could fit in the room!! You are pushing a lie. You must be a Republican.

- It''s sad when Clinton must be pushed and shoved off stage. But the good news: There are many great self-made women who could be a VP for Obama. The woman governor of Alaska. Women in Congress, women in business.

- Sam: Obama losing the election will not ruin Hillary''s career. She will stump for him and be a good Democrat; that''s the best she can do. She cannot guarantee all of her supporters will vote for Obama, and she cannot be held responsible for those who do not. Far left Democratic Presidential candidates tend to lose elections. There''s nothing new in that.

- I mean like, what is the relationship between the two of them like? What does winning and losing earn the two of them if the votes were so close? Where do we all go from here? I''m slightly confused :/

- PS I would say that Barack probably has to make as good a good faith effort at trying to develop a workable relationship with Hillary as his VP as she''s making for him - if that''s what she really wants - so long as it doesn''t put the Dem chances of winning in jeopardy.
If Hillary decides she doesn''t want it, then he''s off the hook. If they broker a power-sharing agreement that they''re both happy with, then people will probably accept that and probably neither will want that relationship and they''ll both be off the hook. But if Hillary wants on the ticket and Barack doesn''t, it''s going to be obvious to people and slow the healing I think (?) - Reply to this comment

So you''re saying you''re essentially going to ruin Hillary''s career, you do realize that - because we''re all trying to show respect for the fact that what Hillary had to go out and do today was extremely hard, and will continue to be hard, but that it realistically may not be what was really needed to convert her supporters to Barack supporters, which she clearly has the power to do to a great extent. YOU might disagree with that assessment but I assure you that Barack supporters believe it to be true - if Barack loses, we''re taking Hillary down with him. She lifts him up, he''ll do the same in kind.
At least hopefully that''s the calculation he''s making! Because I DO see that Hillary is now essentially in the position of having to help make HIS dreams come true (which were her dreams too). Since only one of them would get the opportunity to live that dream, don''t we all sort of thinking that fairness dictates that he should have to help make Hillary''s next dream come true? - Reply to this comment

That''s just a chance we''ll have to take. The immediate issue is that Obama is, in the view of many, a very dangerous fraud who must be stopped. We''ll deal with down-the-line issues later. - Reply to this comment

- I think Hillary and Barack need to do a joint rally as soon as possible, and I would guess that she''s going to need to continue to be pushed into stuff like that.
But somebody needs to push Barack into feeling some of the pain that Hillary''s feeling because it''s totally showing that while Hillary''s being forced to do stuff for him, that he''s not being forced to do stuff for her. I don''t think it''s going to wash for him to have surrogates keep dropping hints that they''re not interested in having anything to do with Hillary.
Maybe in a traditional year they could get away with that, but this year I don''t think that''s going to wash (?) - Reply to this comment
- I think the DNC and party elite have grossly underestimated the fury they have unleashed by attempting to shove Obama down our throats. Now the the Democratic Party has become the party of disenfranchisement and racism, I have no allegiance to it. I''ve spoken to many people about this, and we feel that it''s our solemn responsibility to help defeat Obama in November. Better a centrist Republican (tempered by a Democratic House and Senate), than an inexperienced, ruthless, deceptive, divisive, racist black liberation theology believing, terrorist befriending, race card throwing Obama.
P.S. Hello Element51. Hope you''re having a nice day. - Reply to this comment
- GreatDriveW....Trying to have a rational discussion with Jack3213 is next to impossible. Like many of the right wing posters he is living in his own little world and does not want to be bothered with the facts. As for this "hinnis character, he just crawled out of the woodwork in the last day or so. His posts are so nasty and vile that I find it difficult to even read them as he has the ability to really pisss me off. I knew that sooner or later these jerks would start their unrelenting attacks and we will just have to get used to it. But not to worry...The American people are not idiots and Obama will win but we have to stand up this time and fight and not let them run over us like they have done in the past. Hang in there brother.

- I would recommend to all Hillary Clinton supporters and Independents who understand the importance of stopping Obama, that we stop wasting our time debating and arguing with the morons who support him. God himself could come down and label Obama a racist liar, and they would not believe it. We need to use the Internet to keep in touch, keep us fired up, and to spread the word about assisting in the defeat of Obama. Hillary supporters have a very important role in this. We are Democrats, and if we can split the vote, we can assure his defeat in November.

- REASONS WHY HILLARY CLINTON IS LOSING
She believed the American people would be smart enough to see through a fruad like Barack Obama... her biggest mistake.
She was outspent nearly 2-1 in this campaign (some states 3-1)
A lot of Red states (that will go straight to the Republicans during the general election) voted for Barack Obama early on in order to keep Hillary Clinton out
The media protected Barack Obama and refused to expose his "garbage" and the media''s sexist abuse of Hillary see Kieth Obermann, Chris Matthews, Tim Russert, etc)
Barack Obama%u2019s questionable funding coming from two of the poorest groups in all past elections (college students and blacks)
Blatant prejudice by the black community giving 90% plus of their vote to Barack because his skin color is black DESPITE the Clinton%u2019s 30 years of supporting, working, and fighting for minorities.
The internal push by Democratic leaders such as Pelosi, Reid, and Dean to get superdelegates to support Barack Obama
The UN-DEMOCRATIC Caucus system....
EXAMPLE:
The TalkLeft analysis noted that Clinton won 11 more delegates than Obama in the New Jersey primary, which she won by 112,128 votes, while Obama won 12 more delegates than Clinton in the Idaho caucuses which he won by 13,225 votes.
Similarly, Clinton netted 12 delegates by winning the Pennsylvania primary by 214,115 votes, while Obama came out ahead by 14 delegates by winning the Kansas caucuses by 17,710 votes. - Reply to this comment

- "Suspend" means she will try every dirty trick in the book to "win" at the Convention.
Posted by Jean243 at 01:41 PM : Jun 07, 2008
Jean, use of the term "suspend" is a legal matter that has to do with wrapping up the financial issues of a campaign. For example, John Edwards also "suspended" his campaign. It has nothing to do with dirty tricks or what happens at the convention. - Reply to this comment
