- Imagine if we had been trying to occupy Iraq since 1908.
From just after the beginning of flight, through the sinking of the Titanic, WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam and to today. That''s how long McCain is willing to stay in Iraq. - Reply to this comment

Thank you!! I am glad there are some folks paying attention to what is really going on. As a former Republican, I know how successful the Rove''s, Newts, and, Rush''s, of the world have been in demonizing anything that smells of the word "liberal" but they did to to be able to hood-wink the American people into thinking that Republicans only had their best interests at heart. When really it was to make all of their buddies rich on our backs. NEVER only vote for one party. You have to keep balancing the scales even though it isn''t as easy as blindly voting for one party. - Reply to this comment
- ozus asks, "explain what his policies on global warming, health care and taxation will mean. Change means moving from the American model...to some other model."
We don''t have the "American model". It''s the model "of the Corporation, by the Corporation, and for the Corporation"
This administration''s policy to deal with global warming is to just deny that it''s happening! We will pay much more dearly down the road due to the delay in figuring out what must be done and working on that goal.
Current health care policy has given drug companies BIG profits and lets them and private insurance companies DICTATE what medical care you receive. You''re worried about not being able to choose your doctor? That''s meaningless! Which drugs you can get, what tests can be taken, what treatments can be supplied, how many seconds the doctor takes to look at you... all that is controlled by the insurance and drug companies! It hardly matters what doctor you go to. The same corporations control them ALL!
Re: Taxation%u2026 Bush "reduced" our taxes and reduced services, reducing money paid to states, so the states increased their taxes and reduced their services, so the cities reduced their services and increased their taxes. Often taxes are disguised as "fees", but they''re still taxes, and we are getting less and less in return, while the federal government funnels all of our money to the war profiteers.

- Have the liberals thought through what Obama''''s change might mean. Look at Europe. Gas over $7 a gallon. Taxes of more than 90%. No choice of doctor. In the UK there is one CCTV camera spying on the public for every 14 people. Criminals re-offending after being given short jail sentences for major crimes. As well, there are many nanny laws and climate change laws. After four years of Obama, you might long for the good old days.

We already long for the "good old days" when Clinton was president. If you want to blame someone for the current state of the Republican party, you can blame your president and the senate and house members that supported his corrupt policies. - Reply to this comment

I am sorry that Florida and Michigan lost their delegates but they were warned well in advance, had the opportunity to back off their primaries, but went ahead anyway. When they were threatened with losing their delegates if they moved their primaries, Hillary was in full agreement. So SHE needs to do what is fair and quite whining about Florida and Michigan. - Reply to this comment
- McCain has shown us all recently that something is wrong with his memory and thinking.

You know Sarge, there are plenty of people that stay sharp well into their ninties, but you are right that there have been some kind of strange gaffs from McCain lately. My dad had some little things start happening, but it slid into full-blown dementia and it happend pretty fast after it started. That is a scary thought if McCain truly is showing any signs of short-term memory loss or dementia. For his sake, I hope not, but I am not sure the country should take the risk. - Reply to this comment
- It isn''t John''s age that is the problem, it is his party affiliation. The Republican party has become some corrupt, that it isn''t even reasonable to elect a Republican president. I just clipped this little snippet about EPA from another web site. The article was about why the EPA isn''t warning Americans about possible health risks because of toxins. Republicans in the house and senate have allowed this to go on, and have enabled a lying president to harm America. You can''t turn your back on your fellow Americans because of party and still be patriotic.

An EPA scientist with extensive experience in this area, who refused to go on camera due to fear of retribution, told CBS News: "these chemicals have effects ranging from learning disabilities to cancer. And EPA scientists can''t protect the public because of white house interference."

- Talk about destroying the Democratic party....
The DNC is destroying the party, by alienating the 2+ MILLION voters in Florida and Michigan, AND THEN giving North Carolin MORE delegates!!
The contest is nearly neck-and-neck with Obama having the upper hand, which would probably not true if the DNC were to INCLUDE THE TWO ENTIRE STATES THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING TO ALIENATE!!!
Now the DNC has awarded North Carolina with MORE DELEGATES!!!
This is totally RIGGING the selection process to make it easier for a particular candidate!!!
Pelosi and the DNC are working against Hillary!! This is not Democracy, this is the "righteous few" trying to fool over half of the voter base!!
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! STOP THE MADNESS!!!
If you''re like me, you''ll vote for McCain if the Democratic party becomes "undemocratic" by rigging the contest!!
Email Howard Dean Immediately and tell him to give Florida and Michigan their rightful votes!!

- IDNNSG, speaking of mindless slander, I think that''s what you just did to John McCain. I don''t always take Wikipedia as gospel, but the description of what he went through in Vietnam is not what I would have wanted to endure.
