I would be interested to know the source of the information you report. I am somewhat skeptical, in part because I have read that in fact OBL is not unusually tall (maybe 6''1 or 2"?). Westerners who have met him say he is of ordinary height and it is a myth that he is 6''5". This sheds doubt on the report you mention. - Reply to this comment

If we were reaping successes from NAFTA, people would not be decrying it to such an extent. They would be relishing in their new found wealth... as Mexico is doing.

I agree, but it has to start somewhere.
I know it is painful to some, but after Mexico drags itself out of being a third world country to a first world country and they have more money to spend, they will buy more from us. I think, and I would have to research this, that Canada and Mexicao are our biggest trading partners.
Also, we can''t hide from globalization and we have to compete agaisnist the growing trading power of the EU.

- I respect and sometimes admire the passion I see with the opinions I see on this board. I think that you many of you are well educated and informed. But by their actions, not words, the Democrats and the Republicans are not interested in the least was is Best for the American People.
They are both only interested in preserving their power and dominion over the people they are elected to govern. They are both saying that only "they" can protect us from the "monster" they created, but both do nothing more than grandstand and show boat.
We have only ourselves to blame, no matter how unpleasant that sounds. Ultimately we pay the price for their success and we pay the ultimate price for their failure.

- Impeachment does not force an official to resign his or her post. All it does is charge the person with an offense that could be considered grounds for removal. The impeaching body does not hold the trial needed for removal from office.
