I would note that Tuesday could also be the last stand for Hilary Clinton. Why does the media pick sides during elections, when its so much easier to just report the news. Many Texans will vote for Huckabee or Paul just to convince John McCain that there is no mandate for his goofy immigartion and Iraq policies. I hope these candidates drag this primary out until the convention. McCain will arrogantly ignore the fact that he''s only garnering votes of people who hate his oposition more than they hate him. Is that what our electoral process has come down too? We should all demand a nationwide primary, taking place on the same day, on a weekend, so that Citizens truly have some say in who we nominate, and so that small states cannot dictate who we the people can elect.

That Mike Huckabee is still standing after all the intense hostility and unfair treatment by the Republican establishment and the conservative media . . .

Name one instance of unfair treatment of Huckabee -- rather, I find it astonishing nobody has taken him to task for his subtle racism expressed in his attitude toward''s South Carolina''s glorification of the Confederate Flag and his fondness for the song Sweet Home Alabama, an overtly racist song. No, I''d say Huckabee''s gotten a free pass all along.

[Huckabee] loves The True God (by their fruits you shall know them). All "beliefs" are not equal.

The 9-11 terrorists also loved the one "True God," just ask any of their friends. They were each true blue believers, and like Huckabee, they believed wholeheartedly that God''s laws should be enforced by government. Huckabee is just a different shade of the kind of theocracy the Taliban created in honor of the one "True God."

Honestab8: I guess then, by your definition, all the other candidates should be preachers, too?
Did you all know that OVER 30,000 Americans registered on (2) online petitions asking McCain to accept the invitation from Mike Huckabee to a debate for tonight? Did you realize that 99.9% of those 30,000 felt that if McCain didn''t accept (we in Texas assume he was too busy cooking ribs at his Texas spread over the weekend) that they, in turn, wouldn''t support him even if he got the nomination? Well, doesn''t that indicate that McCain doesn''t give a "rip" about the voters in those states which are holding primaries? How arrogant and assuming Mr. McCain is to decline from a debate....I guess he thinks he''s pretty hot stuff and doesn''t feel he needs to debate anyone. TEXANS: Show McCain that he can''t pre-determine your votes! Vote for the candidate that was just endorsed by The Dallas Morning News yesterday! VOTE FOR MIKE HUCKABEE...HE CARES!!!

HUCKABEE IS THE STRONG, VIBRANT, YOUTHFUL CANDIDATE. IT JUST UPSETS THE GOP BOYS THAT HE IS NOT ONE OF THEIR ELITIST, RICH,INSIDER "PUPPET-BOY" TYPES (A SOURCE). THEY WON''T BE PAMPERED BY MR. MIKE HUCKABEE. OH, NO!
HERE''S THE THING: WHILE THE REPUBLICANS ARE SHAMELESSLY EXPOSING THEIR ERRORS, THEREBY COMMITTING POLITICAL AND PUBLIC SUICIDE, MC CAIN HAS BEEN HANDING THEM THE PROVERBIAL "POISON" ,"ROPE" AND "GUN".... ..BY REFUSING TO BE MORE AVAILABLE/VISIBLE , SPEAKING IN A MOST IMMODERATE MANNER, AND DODGING A REPUBLICAN DEBATE PETITION (PRIOR TO THE TEXAS PRIMARY)
PERHAPS MR MC CAIN IS OVERWHELMED WITH THE UPROAR THAT HUCKABEE IS CAUSING IN TEXAS. WHATEVER IT IS, WE, THE AMERICAN VOTERS, AND THOSE WHO PETITIONED MC CAIN HDQRTRS.... IN VAIN (FOR A REP DEBATE) CONTINUE TO BE LEFT OUT IN THE COLD BY
MR JOHN MC CAIN. AS MEDIA COVERAGE OF THE DEMOCRAT SIDINGS MERCILESSLY FLOODS THE AIRWAYS, HE RESEMBLES A FRAIL LITTLE BOY TRYING TO PLAY BALL WITH THE HEADLINER LIBERALES,BEFORE HE IS EVEN ABLE TO TOSS THE BALL WITH HIS OWN TEAMMATES. IN THE MEANTIME, THE REPUBLICAN VOTERS ARE ABANDONED TO OUR OWN DEVICES, LEFT ONLY TO WAIT, WONDER AND WAGER OUR OWN BETS.
WHO WOULD YOU VOTE FOR?

That Mike Huckabee is still standing after all the intense hostility and unfair treatment by the Republican establishment and the conservative media, and with only grass roots money, and with a tiny organization, is nothing less than a miracle itself. When he gets to compete on a level playing field, it will be a miracle if he is NOT elected President of the United States.

Mikey loves the True God (TM)? Good for him. He should be a preacher, not a elected representative.

CANDIDE777
They did not love God...they were sinister, twisted, fanatics, with a whole set of matching creedo...Mr Huckabee was(and is) a compassionate and wise governor...and He loves The True God (by their fruits you shall know them). All "beliefs" are not equal. You can''t trash-talk Mike Huckabee...Don''t even try.

The worst I can "dig up" on Huckabee is he loves God!
Posted by noregion5 at 01:31 PM : Mar 03, 2008

What a charitable way of describing Huckabee''s desire for a theocracy. Did you know that the 9-11 terrorists also loved God? I bet you didn''t know that.
