McCain is a genuine war hero
Since when is an American mercenary that fought in another countries civil war a war hero? The Vietnam Civil War never once threatened the liberty nor the sovereignty of the USA, thus the USA had no right being there in the first place. - Reply to this comment
- he slams against INSANE McCAIN will be without end. Let US hope he picks Neocon Huckabee as his Banana Republicon running mate. Then the fun will really begin.

Yes lets hope he picks Huckabee and for sure McCain will be labeled INSANE and he will pick him to satisfy CPAC the pressure is already on for him to do it, but it will bring the independents out in droves to vote democratic let alone the democrats who are fired up as Obama says - Reply to this comment
- I am a strong Democrat and want very much to win the WH in 2008. But, no matter what, let us keep in mind that McCain is a genuine war hero who still walks stoop as a result of enemy torture. Let''s go after him on the issues and where we differ but let''s still honor him for his war record. We can do that and win the WH.
BUT, there will still be Section 527s and the like that will conduct extremely negative campaigning on behalf of both parties - true and untrue.
I really wish there was a way to control these guys. - Reply to this comment

- McCain needs to go away.
We do not need more war strategies. We need peace. To accomplish peace, we need peace strategies which is something far removed from McCains expertise and life long experience.

- This man, Mr Clinton, who has cheated on his wife several times, would prefer ultimately to be ignored so he can go on being an adulterer, and not getting caught. God save us from this inept, disgraceful, hypocritical fraudulaent couple that are nothing but full of BS!!!!!!!

Well said brother, well said.
The Clintons do not appear to have any version of a real marriage. I would say she has some serious dirt on him because, if they divorced, he''d be fine. He''d still be an ex-president etc. She, on the other hand, would not fair so well.
I''d bet zillions they are still married because she will spill the bean bag on him if he left her. She''d be no one without Bill. She''s been hanging on to his skirttails for quite a while now, saving her own face.
I could more believe she''s running because HIS cronies want HIM back in the white house and they are using her - because she wants to be there too and she wouldn''t have a snowballs chance to be a Senator or anything else without Bill. - Reply to this comment
- There are things I like about McCain...tho the intensity he had in the LA debates when he said "we will win this war" was for me, disturbing...

- Haven''t we had enough of republicanism for now? Let''s make a change. "More of the same McCain" just isn''t cutting it.

- Well Dear, you remember your idiotic dreams (that only the far left has the ability to spin, as exhibited below) when your candidate loses, ok...

Please point this out about a dream and the left wing I do not think I have ever mentioned left wing in my life I could be wrong but the right wing is my junkit right now well since Bush won two illegal elections and CPAC is not my thing. Are you sure you are not dreaming?I would like to respect anyones words on this post but some like you only want your point and disrespect other voices that do not agree with you. I actually think you are very smart, but very discriminatory in who you support and who you do not. So do not pick a fight with me you will never change and neither will I. - Reply to this comment
- Most Independents would bristle to think any candidate believes their vote is a given.

- What we don''''t need is another President, like Reagan, with dementia in office. McCain will eventually slump from the sheer weight of attempting to appear honest and start babbling and stumbling over his own feet. Oh, yeah- I forgot- HE''''S DOING THAT ALREADY!!!

I thought Reagan had reincartnated himself, and was running again, can you believe what they will do to try and get your vote. I heard Reagan more than the one in office at the present time, trying to hide the fact Bush did a lousy job, and Reagan was still their President. See how they twist things - Reply to this comment

You know Speakinup I as an Independent can like a democrat or a republican the problem today the republican party has not one candidate that I would go to the poles and vote for an apparently the leader at the present time some Republicans won''t vote for him as well . As far as the democrats go I was for Obama but he is getting a little cocky to me so I still do not know where to go . I wish the media would just shut up to be honest hope it clears up the fact that after Bush it would be very hard for me to vote Republican and it is good they have no one .It wouldn''t matter what I said you would be against it so you are like the pot calling the kettle black - Reply to this comment

- Hey Xlib and RingADing, I''m a Democrat and yeah, I remember Carter. And yeah, I''m afraid of a replay. Not that you 2 would be voting for Clinton, but I think that she is ready to take down McCain...(winkwink) just in case you hate him enough to cross party lines! Sounds like some conservative do?

- Two years ago, he shifted his position 180 degrees on some issues. I don''''t believe in the charge of "flipflopping", I think people can be allowed to change their minds on issues as they learn new things over time, but McCain went from publically disliking Bush to being his best buddy, literally overnight. It was very suspicious.

I do not see a difference in calling Mc Cain a flip flopper as the Republicans did Kerry actually. McCain flip more than Kerry, McCain was a traitor unto himself, and that is when he lost this voter.I found in his straight talk, he could lie as bad as Bush. He saw Bush being popular in his party, and sided with him as to get his base move to him, now he has lost the Bush base AND THE PEOPLE, INDEPENDENTS, that was his base. The people voting for him now are people who will never leave the Republican party no matter what. - Reply to this comment
- The DemonCraps are conducting this nomination process like a vote for "American Idol". Who is the most female or who is the most black. Who can promise the "entitlement crowd" the most goodies. No mention of responsibility or self direction. We are in real trouble if the DemonCraps are elected.

- Of course the left is going to "hit McCain", no surprise there. A party can''t get any nastier than the dems. Look at what the clinton camp has done to obama. And speaking of obama, tell me, just where does he stand on ANYTHING?? Isn''t he the most liberal senator going, that is when he votes and doesn''t just say "present". Just what exactly do we know about him? Nothing, just platitudes and slogans, that''s it. As for him being the next jfk, not even close.
As for the biotch and her canadian rich biotch loving hubby-we know what we''ll get from her. Seems like the choices on the left are socialist or socialist.
As for the Republicans not "having anyone"-we''ll see. In fact, some pundits say to let the dems win, screw the country up ala jimma carter and the good time 70''s. Do any of you leemings remember the 70''s?? - Reply to this comment
- Don''''t believe any media report or poll about what a candidate said or did which has an analysis attached to it. Instead listen to their words and what they say and watch their demeanor and then rely on your gut instinct: would you feel comfortable hanging out on Sat mornings with ''''em, or would you feel comfortable asking them to come pick you up from a bar because you were too drunk to drive. There''''s no need to get all wrapped around the axel over the poison bs that''''s handed out by the press.
