Politico: After Iowa Caucuses, Former First Lady To Target Barack Obama Over Experience
- Of course the Clintons are about to get nasty, thats all they know how to do. Don''t be tricked people by the same old politics. Obama can change are nation and bring us back to good standing in the world.
We don''t need another 8 years of the Bush, Clinton dictatorship, we need someone new who can unite and inspire. GREAT JOB IOWA, you started a great thing last night.

- "Hillary Rodham Clinton plans to target what her campaign calls Barack Obama%u2019s inexperience over the next five days in New Hampshire and deliver much sharper - and likely much more personal and negative -attacks against the Iowa winner, according to Democrats familiar with the evolving strategy."
Hillary''s attempts at building herself up in the voter''s eyes hasn''t worked so she''s left with tearing other down.... - Reply to this comment

- Apparently the voting public has recognized that Hillary does not have any more experience than any other candidates.
Eight years as First Lady, planning menus and serving tea simply does not equate into all the experience Hillary would like us to believe.
Nor does having traveled to 82 countries equate into presidential experience. Hillary did not sit in on any national or international meetings.
Just more b^llsh^t that Hillary would like us to believe.
Don''''t fall for it.
I am an old guy (71) and I would like to see some young idealistic people get into to office and get the old, more than two term pols out of office. Just look where all that experience has gotten us in the last 40 years, not a very impressive record.
Only Obama fits that model, young, intelligent, idealistic, someone who can mediate with our enemies and better understands the position of the average American.

- The objectives of this election will be to remove the Republicans from the White House and to further diminish their influence in Congress. The Republicans have an uphill battle to fight thanks to GWB & Co., but this election is still the Democrats'' to lose if they aren''t careful. Hillary can''t be nominated for 3 reasons:
-Oligarchy: If Hillary were to be elected it would extend the unprecedented 20-year Bush/Clinton "duopoly" at the White House. That''s un-American and voters aren''t likely to buy it this time (Democrats or otherwise).
-Establishment: Hillary is an entrenched DC insider (Senator plus 8 years First Lady). Electing Hillary would likely result in Democratic "business as usual" and voters know that. Plus there''s some "baggage" still hanging around from her husband''s administration (e.g. Whitewater, "Hillarycare...").
-Power woman: Some people simply can''t stand Hillary for being Hillary. Others aren''t ready to elect a woman President yet...
Obama is likely the "safe" (yet risky) bet for the Democrats.
Iowa Caucus TV coverage yields 2 additional observations:
1. Obama Democrats were noticeably more "fired up" than Huckabee Republicans.
2. Obama appeared more "presidential" than Huckabee (though this is mostly just "window dressing," it shapes perceptions nonetheless). - Reply to this comment
- I don''t have any particular bias for against Edwards, but it seems to me that The Obama and Clinton camps are a bit too confident when they declare Edwards to be a "dead man walking"; since they plan on ignoring him and pounding away wildly on each other. Seems like that''s what enabled Edwards to get back in the Iowa race. If Obama and Clinton inflict enough damage on each other, and corporations have another bad month (big scandals and the subprime conspiracy fallout), by February 5th, Edwards may start looking like the best choice afterall. His bash the corporations theme could have growing legs after February 5th too. I''m not saying he''s going to win, but counting him out is going to far. He needs a mutual annihilation combined with corporate problems and he could go all the way. Sort of like a horserace in that, even though he may not have the power of the others, with a good trip and some traffic trouble for the others he can pull off an upset. I might have to go down to Caliente and see if they''re offering 10-1 or better on Edwards to win it all. That would be an appropriate value considering the problems Obama and Clinton have and the fact that he would probably whip any of the Republicans easily in the one-on one finals.

Betting politics is like betting sports in that the referees and instant replay officials (ie, Media, and Supreme Court) can sometimes skew the results.

- Poor Hillary- don''t they get it? The insider arguments about why should be president are not what the people are interested in...
