folks who support this failed "war" blow my mind. i''ll list some reasons why:

1)iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, hey had no WMD and no prior relationshp with al queda.
2)the results of the surge are largely attributable to te victories of al sadr''s militia and a wait-till-they''re gone attitude among insurgents
3)if taking a person''s property against thier will is theft, then taxation is theft. if killing someone who has never aggressed against anyone is murder, then war is inevitably murder. so, to be pro-war, you must support theft in order to fund murder.
4)those who support the invasion, because they would never carry a double standard, must also believe that it is wrong for americans to defend againt aggressive invasion, since they believe it is wrong for iraqis to do so.

mudrose -

thanks, you know beneath the pros and the cons, we all are brother Americans - beneficiaries of same essential values passed down many generations - nothing can break that bond - no man can destroy that.

although we don''''t see eye to eye, if our back are up against the wall, we''''ll stick together like maple syrup and california pine.

ps be nice if you offered formusmcsrg a peace pipe

Did you read his commentary? I''m talking Pearl Harbor and he passes along that commentary. Bro, that''s heresy! Do never to knock our Fathers. Yeah, okay, hand''s out, but my heads not facing him yet.

Has anyone noticed Cheney looks like the Grinch in that photo - minus the green?

I disagree. When I look at him I see the green too........

I wonder what it feels like to be the most hated man in America? Here''s hoping his rock heart dies and him right along with it.

Poignant. Good mind for verse. I don''t particularly like it, but it''s good.

The economy is "great"? Perhaps you should tell that to Ford, GM, Chrysler, and the other big manufacturers, that are being crushed by the overwhelming cost of healthcare in this country. In case you missed it, they''''ve had to lay off tens of thousands of employees and pay many thousands of others into early retirement. And what is Bush doing about it? Absolutely nothing - as usual.

Aw, if you elect hillary the clintoid, you can have your socialist government - BIG NANNY TI/ts and all. The troops are coming home because the surge is working, but that would scare the hell out of the dimnowits. Why President Harry knows it''s gonna be a tough climb for the Congess next time around. 11% approval and tanking.

DIRGE TO THE SURGE

darkness encloses
a warm flash embraced
a look towards the sky
last cry of disgrace

whimsical threats our leaders say
surrounds us in colours
red, green and grey

they lead us to light,
their hands point the way
they lead us freedom,
on knees they pray

invisible coffins
placed into soft earth
a welcome relief
for those men who have died
or some leaders beliefs

If Iraq is going to be self-governing, then why doesn''t this sack of pig guts Cheney go over there and govern it! Let him and his sock puppet Bush pis*s on their laws and Constitution for awhile instead of on ours!

If it''s such a success, then why is Bush withdrawing the 5700 surge troops this month, and the balance of the troops by next summer?

It seems to me that after 4-1/2 years of failure on top of failure, if they FINALLY found something that was working, don''t you think they would continue it?

Also, when the democrats wanted a timetable for withdrawal, Bush and his cabal said that would send a message to the enemy, and all they would have to do is "wait us out". Why then, did he announce a timetable for withdrawal so that the enemy could wait us out?

Iraq will not be an issue in 2008

Illegal Immigration, Taxes and the Economy

Psst, hillary you are down in the polls. Even your constitutency don''t believe you. Economy is great, taxes are low and our party will see to it. Gee, the Dimnowits had to take out the pay-go aspect to the AMT. No increases there. Pssst, hillary, we are going to close the borders. The surge worked and the marxists don''t know what to latch onto now. BooHoo.
