- People like this Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C spend more time & energy obstructing democrats than trying to pass effective legislation. ---- That's the problem in Congress

Delusional RNC propaganda, your business Repugs while in sole power have increased the debt by 600 percent 50 of which is borrowed from foreign capital and discretionary spending by 40 percent, they blow money like a bunch of addicts. The free lunch would not matter to them if their wife, brother, contributor got the contract for the work no bid of course. Repugs hate social programs because it does get in their way of their pillaging the tax revenues for themselves. What *** they don%u2019t believe in free lunch going to the poor but they sure do as long as it goes to theirs and theirs. Obstruction un American more intrest in their party then the people vote them out in 08 go Unity or Dem. - Reply to this comment
- republicans are just mad because it is time they start doing what the people of this country want, and while dems aren't perfect, they're at least trying to do that.

- At the end of a working day, ALL POLITICIANS climb into the same bed and enjoy a long, satisfiying smoke and linger over the joy they've had in s...crew..ing the voters. Does not matter what party because they are, by nature, all prone to this behavior. But we don't have to be so easy to s..cre, either.
Voters do not have to all agree on the
same issues. All voters have to do is stay on an issue and make sure the politicians knows where they stand at any given point of the political process. Politicians couldn't care less personally about one issue over another. All they are doing is interviewing for a job with excellent perks and benefits.
We have a right to hound politicians to stay on the path. If we don't we end up with an administration that arrogantly thinks they don't need the approval of the voters any more and frankly don't even need to adhere to the Constitution either.
We can stop all the name calling and thinking one politician is actually better than another. They aren't. They all want the same thing and we determine who stays, not the other way around.
Politicians have to know the voter is the one holding the reins. And the voter can not become comfortable and think all is well at any point because, they are, after all, politicians and can not be trusted to do what is right without constant supervision. - Reply to this comment

It seems like you're saying Republicans run the nation like a business, in which case business decisions can appear to be cold and uncaring, but the reality is Republicans understand there is no such thing as a free lunch and ultimately somebody has to pay for it, whatever that "it" is! On the other hand Democrats run the nation with compassion, leaving no one behind, take care of everyone and we'll just have to make it work and figure out how to pay for it down the road. It would be nice to find a middle ground between the two, but is a middle ground possible? Maybe the answer is to look back through American History and try and match a system that governed us that everyone was happy with, does such a time exist in our past when Americans were not cry baby Whah Boo Hoo like you Post? Did Americans ever not complain? - Reply to this comment

- I like Political cartoons, some of them are really funny but also true at the same time. A few years ago I saw a Political cartoon that showed a poor American family with no job, no food, no medical coverage, nothing, they had hit rock bottom and no one would help or support them. So they built a wooded boat, rowed out to sea and came around the other side waving the American Flag shouting Viva America! Americans ran out to greet them with open arms and hugs, gave them food, clothes, shelter and jobs and even a business loan. Funny but true, the cartoon made its point!

I support legal Mexican immigration. I do not support illegal Mexican immigration or giving them rights and benefits. I am not a racist and I am not filled with hate, however, when opposing racist its hard not to appear racist yourself. I support Law and Order. If you support illegal Mexicans then you support 12 million people roaming the U.S. with no ID and when they commit crimes they can claim any name and change their created identity whenever they want, there is no way to track them, they are not in our systems. You support aiding possible criminals, child molesters and the sick who could contaminate legal Americans because these Mexicans were not medically examined or cleared like legal immigrants are. Americans freaked out over the guy flying around with TB but don't seem to care about thousands of illegal Mexicans possibly having contagious diseases or TB putting us at risk! Our system is well connected, nothing stands by itself, now the illegals working in the U.S. want medical coverage, especially for their kids when millions of legal Americans still don't have medical coverage. A Bill is being debated now to cover them! I understand the terror threats you mentioned if we don't give into the illegal Mexican invasion and blackmail if they don't get what they want, but pick your poison, because the threat of violence from legal Americans rising up against this criminal injustice is just as possible. - Reply to this comment

- ConDumism Democrats need to be leashed. Republicans lost power because Americans wanted to prove a point...'you are dispensable'. It was never meant to imply Democrats are the golden ones. However, if they would act like they have some sense and stop playing games like 3rd graders on a playground, or bullying their way through processes they just might win back some of the respect lost on government in general.
Frankly, I don't have much use for politicans...period. They are all self-serving, self-centered, and self-righteous servants of the people...but our government says we have to have them. So, the next best thing is to ride them like the mules they are and never let them forget the voters are the reason they have the best healthcare, pensions, and living conditions money can buy....and it can all be lost in one election.
Lashing out at individuals because of an opinion they have on a subject only serves to make you look ignorant. But if it gives you a thrill, that's called freedom. - Reply to this comment
- Democrats have only proven they can't handle the power of being the majority. They can't be trusted to do right at this point. Republicans are flawed, but at least they aren't creating programs that give illegal immigrants a free pass to the bountiful table Americans have created. blah blah blah to the 'they help create the bounty.' B...ull S...hit! They see something for nothing and if in the process someone gets a little kickback makes it no less a crime they are here.
No one forced them here. No one threatened them to cross. They made the decisions on their own. They are capable of coming up with ways to scam and rip off Americans in such a number that amazes even hardened con-artists. And we have a party that bleeds for them. We have elected leaders who have found a way to line their pockets off the backs of these criminals and now they want to spin it into pity and false numbers. Spin it any way you like but at end of the day we have criminals gaining from being...well...criminals. They spit at our laws the minute they cross the boarder illegally.
We need to get the bleeders in line. We need to get the bleeders out of office. - Reply to this comment

If the Democrats want to hand over what appears to be a sure victory to Republicans in the 2008 Election Cycle, all they need to do is support illegal immigrants!
I can only presume that you've been brainwashed by the Fascist FOX Network. The GOP has not enforced any of the existing illegal worker laws for the poast 14 years, thus we now have 12 million plus illegals. The GOP has also been labeled the anti-immigrant (RACIST) party, which is why they lost majority of Congress in 2006, and they are expected to lose even more ground in 2008. Too bad Bubba, your fantasy is just that, a load of GOP lies with ZERO foundation. Must suck to be a GOPig these days, uh? YOur party of white trash and its hate parade are shining through load and clear. KEEP IT UP GOPigs! - Reply to this comment

- Below is a list of the accomplishments of the 1994-2006 GOP Congress on behalf of the majority of American people:
..................
As you can see from the empty list above, the GOP NEOCON Congress accomplished absolutely NOTHING for the vast majority of American's during their rein of terror for 12 years. - Reply to this comment

- Looking at the bright side of it, we will have these Mexicans in our country, and it will be very crowded, and they will bring their ignorant culture which will make us even more like Mexico, but one thing Mexicans are good at is insurrection and civil violence and attacking their own government. So there will also be some positive contribuiton of these Mexicans and Guatamalans. The rich believe they are some kind of docile little animals, but in fact they have a deep tradition of insurrection and disobedience to authority. Most likely they will be at the forefront of fighting for more rights for common people, these guys will possibly turn into the shock troops of freedom over the next 15 years. I think its possible there will be huge demonstrations on May Day, for example, and marches on Washington DC, a real threat of violence from these people as a mob. And at that time, they'll be fighting for what all Americans want instead of just for immigration rights. we will have to put up with more crowding and crime, but there are some good things that cam come fromthis too.

- A computer glitch & GOP wont co-operate to recess & have situation taken care of. Point of order, point of order! Only, when, cry me a river, Boener decides that a recess is required in order to fix computers. PTSD is rampant in Congress!

- All this from the very people complaining that the Iraq government cannot get anything done. No wonder congress's ratings are even lower than Bush's. If we want to stop illegal entries in the U.S. then we need to stop rewarding them.
