- someone needs to ask them this...............
this is the only way!!!!!!!!! to stop this adminastration. period..the only way bush has no way of vetoing. so why haven't they done this?
both party are dragging this on to far. its time to end this for god sake
so call on congress to do this NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Article 1 of the US Constitution gives the Congress, not the President, the right to declare war. And the War Powers Act specifies that the President may not continue a war without Congressional authorization. Saddam is dead. There never were any WMDs or ties to Al Qaeda. The basis for the 2002 war authorization is gone.
If Congress passes a resolution de-authorizing the war, the President has no legal authority to continue. De-authorization cannot be vetoed, and it would legally require Bush to begin bringing the troops home.
The time for waiting is over. People are dying every day. We cannot wait until this fall to start bringing our troops home. If Congress doesn't act before they leave for the summer, the only thing that will change between now and the end of the year is the body count.
Congress has a public mandate and the Constitutional authority to end this war.
LETS GO AMERICA WE OWE THIS TO OUR TROOPS DIEING FOR NOTHING BUT THE PRESIDENTS AND MR VP'S PLEASURE, AND PROFITS..... - Reply to this comment
- Why would they say Barak is a magic negro if it isn't true?

- I hear ya. I don't agree with you that those people have our party by the throat though. I know they're out there but happen to think there are just as many racist democrats. Most of the dems I come across on this site are insensitive a$$holes; making way more offensive comments than any republican.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then. I actually voted for Ford in 1976 (my first presidential vote), but that was because he was the congressman from our district in Michigan and I'd met him several times, so I knew that he was a genuinely nice and honest man. That said I still think the church mice and the racists within their number along with the radical right wing neocons (thanks pepperp1 for reminding me to include them)have a much stronger hold on the republican party then many republicans are willing to admit. Certainly they have driven the libertarian wing completely out. There is no room for a new Goldwater and it was Goldwater who went to Nixon and told him it was time to resign. Now there is no one to go to Bush and tell him he's gone too far too. - Reply to this comment
- No democrat can deny a negro could possibly be magic.

Nice try.

Do not forget the real economic Royalist running the GOP sheep; the fringe former liberals renamed neo cons and their anti American agenda that have infiltrated the Repugs political sect. - Reply to this comment

- What bothers me about you and others on this post is that you assume all republicans are racists. You're flat wrong.

Actually if you read my post closely and in the way it was written you'd come to the conclusion that I do not think all republicans are racists. What I do think is that all racists are republican and that it's a real shame for the real republicans. I think it's awful that Rove and company have driven real republicans out of their party and that's there's no longer room for a new Goldwater, Ford or even someone like Nixon who would be a raging liberal by their standards. I would love it if the real republicans took their party back from the church mice and racists that have it by the throat now. - Reply to this comment

I find solice in the fact that these throwbacks are a VERY small minority. Mainly the far left of the democrat party. The real fringe kooks. - Reply to this comment
- For the Democrats to pick someone inferior to Edwards just because they are not white and male, will open them up for a lot of criticism (I think valid, too) by their Republican opponents.
Posted by hopetrumps at 04:53 PM : Jul 25, 2007
I agree, but then again I support Edwards too and it would be a shame if he wasn't the nominee just because he is a white male. I mean after all it's often been said (and with much truth) that Bill Clinton was the first black president. Then again if not for a troublesome amendment to the Constitution he'd still be the president and running with no serious opposition in 2008 too. - Reply to this comment

- I've often wondered what the real republicans, the few left with any sense of honor that Rove hasn't driven out already, think when they read some of the incredibly racist posts herePosted by RandalDS at 04:11 PM : Jul 25, 2007
I won't presume to know what you think of those people; but speaking for myself, they're scum. Now as for Obama emulating Reagan, I'd say there's no need. Nobody has ever questioned his character, I believe he's honorable and quite carismatic all by himself. The only thing that bothers me about him is that he is VERY liberal, could he ever work with Republicans? What bothers me about you and others on this post is that you assume all republicans are racists. You're flat wrong. - Reply to this comment

Why should we offer someone you can stomach? You guys didn't offer anyone we could stomach.

He has a childish fascination with twisting names. Sort of like he does with bathroom humor, playing with his own feces and *** jokes. I think it's because he's around 7 or 8. - Reply to this comment
- This is a PERFECT example of the brainwashing that goes on in government run schools. This guy thinks HE and his minimum wage cohorts are carrying the burden of taxation.
It's a shame that people like this can pull a voting lever.

Never thought you'd see this in your lifetime, right? They haven't a clue. Makes you wanna cry to see what the future leadership of this country will be like. All kidding aside. I'm all for vouchers. I would kill public education entirely. They don't teach. The NEA is a propogandist committee that takes dues from their teachers and advocates a radical agenda. The kids are really illiterate. Their thought processes are warped. They don't get the three r's, they get indoctrinated. - Reply to this comment
- Be obtuse and mumble a lot? Like Kennedy?
Be an actor, not responsible? Like Bill "BJ" Clinton?
Let your wife say everything? Like Edwards?
Work with Alzheimers each day? Like Reid? - Reply to this comment
