My little brother was on the USS Fort Snelling during the Granada invasion and then the USS Kennedy off from Lebanon right after. I tried to talk the kid into going Air Force like I did, but what the hell, ya gotta let him make his own mistakes, right? lol

You once asked me if I was in "Amphibs," I was a Crew Chief on a LVTP5.

I served on the USS Boxer LPH-4, USS Cambria LPA-36 and the USS Nashville LPD-13. Was just wondering if you were ever deployed on any ships?

Strength is not refusing to change course when there are rocks ahead. Intelligence is not believing only what you want. Common sense if not what your Fox News/Limbaugh/RW Radio handlers tell you it is. There is no "stay until the job is done", only interminable war. There is no "political solution" that will suddenly end 1500 years of deep cultural hatreds. There is no "fight them there before they come here"- they are already here. Invading Iraq did not solve the Israeli/ Palestinian problem as the Neocons said it would. The war did not "pay for itself". The Iraqis did not "welcome the US with flowers". There was no real "coalition". There were no WMD's. There is no way to force democracy down the thraots of a people who have no history of one. Those fighting us in Iraq are not Al-Queda, they are Sunni and Shiite partisans. Iraq did not attack the US on 9/11.

Wake up America! We are being misled by neocon adventurist fools who tell you one thing today then another tomorrow. They are traitors who play a game for which the currency is the blood of American soldiers.

I HOPE EVERY AMERICAN AND ALL OUR ELECTED ARE GOING TO READ THIS, AND SEE THAT THIS ADMINASTRATION JUST KEEPS LAUGHING IN OUR FACES.WHILE THOUSANDS OF OUR TROOPS STILL DIE.
Last December, when Bush rebuffed a bipartisan exit strategy presented by the Iraq Study Group, he said he would leave the decision to withdraw from Iraq to his successor.

That question is "not going to face this government," Bush said, chuckling slightly at a news conference with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, "because we made up our mind. We've made that part clear. It'll face future governments. There will be future opportunities for people to say, 'Well, it's not worth it. Let's just retreat.' "

Since then, nearly 700 more American soldiers have died in a war that has now lasted more than four years, lost the lives of more than 3,600 U.S. troops, cost $10 billion a month -- and cost Republicans control of the House and Senate.

TIME FOR A AMERICAN REVOLUTION TO CHANGE OUR GOVERMENT AND PUT AMERICANS FIRST INSTEAD OF OTHER PLACES IN THE WORLD.

CONGRESS DOEN'T CARE ABOUT THE AVERAGE AMERICAN THAT IS JUST MAKEING IT BY.

IT IS TIME FOR ALL AMERICANS TO STAND UP AND PROTECT OUR CONSTITUTION AND OUR COUNTRY.

WE KNOW CONGRESS WONT...............THEY DONT CARE ABOUT OUR TROOPS BEING MURDERD BY THIS ADMINASTRATION

That's right McCain, stay in Iraq and continue to bleed out our power and respect. Iraq is a fools errand conceived of and run by politicians who are complete morons. It aids the enemy by weakening the US. Our enemies know it (see Osama's comments about keeping us there and bleeding us dry). They are not afraid of us when our leadership cannot see reality. Our enemies laugh every day at how stupid Bush & Co. are to be in Iraq and stay there. Why are they increasingly less afraid of us? Because the fear we instilled by attacking our true enemies in Afghanistan has been replaced by the realization that Bush is a fool. Who is afraid of a fool? No one. Who respects an idiot? No one.

Until America extricates itself from Iraq and regroups to defend against our real enemies, we will continue to bleed out our power and respect in Iraq. You dwindling dead-enders can continue to follow Bush, believing his simplistic and moronic view of the world. I suggest you change the channel to FOX NEWS. They can tell you what to think next. Responses containing FOX's Administration talking points will receive an automatic grade of "moron". ROFLMAO

McCain is right! To pull out of Iraq before the job is done is to give the jihadists free reign and a base of operations where they can train and from which they can launch future offensives. That should be obvious to all, except perhaps the brain-dead. Better to fight them over there than to have to do it here.

They should clean this story up.

The beginning makes it sound like actual fists were used.

McCain has done a grave dis-service to the members of the armed forces, who have valiantly fought, this presidents disaster war. McCain is a joke, and so is the Bush/Cheney regime. Justice will be served the day these criminals are strung up, just like what they did to that other war criminal, saddam hussein. McCain, Bush and Hussein, the unholy triumvirate.
