singinrick:

I agree with you one one point - a true Christian wouldn't condone acts of violence against another.

The facts speak for themselves though - fundamentalist Christians, throughout the ages, have carried out atrocious acts of violence on innocent people.

They aren't alone of course, so don't think I'm singling out Christians (or anyone else for that matter).

Islam and Christianity and other religions aren't the problem as such, it's fundamentalism that is at fault - and that occurs in all religions.

Heck, if you know your history about Israel at all, you would know that there were Jewish terrorist groups that carried out acts of violence and murder against the British and Arabs.

Most Muslims are as repulsed by violence as most Christians are.

As a christian, you should not be spreading that hatred singingrick.

God would not want you to (as you know).

Rick,,, Your question cannot be answered by 1 word -- I think all radical ends of religions are a threat,,, each no better than the other Muslim, Christian, Buddist, Dow & other's..

"Soft on terrorism?? Now that is too funny."

Look at the facts singingrick.

Isn't Bin Laden a terrorist, singingrick?

Or do you think he's harmless?

Remember, he's a known terrorist who is known to be the mastermind behind Sept 11.

Nearly 6 years after the attack, and he has still to be indicted (presumably because he's not a "priority" according to GW Bush).

Yet, Bin Laden is still free, and we invaded a country that had nothing to do with a terrorist attack on the United States.

I'd say the Republicans are soft on terrorism.

They want you to think they are being tough, but the truth is they aren't.

If they were, Bin Laden would be a pinkish brown spot on Afghanistan soil by now.

Indeed they are. Christian fundamentalists who blow up abortion clinics, kill doctors, kill others for being different are as much a worry to me as Islamic fundamentalists are.

I wonder how many people have been slaughtered by christian fundamentalists throughout the ages?

Heck, isn't GW Bush a christian? How many people has he been responsible for killing in the past few years?

More than 3,000 I suspect.

How can you justify christians killing people, singingrick?

"Where were you on 9-11?"

What? Are you blaming j-whitman for the attacks now singingrick?

Fact is, singingrick, it's not the entire Islamic world against the United States - regardless of your ignorant scare tactics.

But tell me this, Bin Laden has admitted to carrying out the Sept 11 attacks.

And yet, the Republicans have yet to indict him for the crime. They don't want to.

And Bush attacked Iraq, opening up a second front, and stopped hunting for the known mastermind of Sept 11, thus leaving the United States open to more terrorist attacks.

Why are the Republicans so soft on terrorism, singingrick?

Giuliani will say anything to become the President - he'll even lie to the American people.

Does he forget that 9/11 happened with the Republicans in charge?

And what about these terrorist attacks against US targets (not a comprehensive list):

2002 - June 14, Karachi, Pakistan: bomb exploded outside American consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, killing 12. Linked to al-Qaeda.

2003 - May 12, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: suicide bombers killed 34, including 8 Americans, at housing compounds for Westerners. Al-Qaeda suspected.

2004 - May 29%u201331, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: terrorists attack the offices of a Saudi oil company in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, take foreign oil workers hostage in a nearby residential compound, leaving 22 people dead including one American.
June 11%u201319, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: terrorists kidnap and execute Paul Johnson Jr., an American, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 2 other Americans and BBC cameraman killed by gun attacks.
Dec. 6, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: terrorists storm the U.S. consulate, killing 5 consulate employees. 4 terrorists were killed by Saudi security.

2005 - Nov. 9, Amman, Jordan: Suicide bombers hit 3 American hotels, Radisson, Grand Hyatt, and Days Inn, in Amman, Jordan, killing 57. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility.

2006 - Sept. 13, Damascus, Syria: an attack by four gunman on the American embassy was foiled.

2007 - Jan. 12, Athens, Greece: the U.S. embassy was fired on by an anti-tank missile causing damage but no injuries.

Would some one please tell me why Iraq was attacked. The al Qaeida was never part of Sadams troops nor part of Iraq.I think the RNC and gw bush just wanted to go to war and they thought Iraq was a push over.It was and we should have been home 3 or so years ago but bush wanted to impress the religious majority and show them how great he is and he is getting the shi*kicked out of himself and killing a lot of innocent people doing so, 3300 Ameican GI's and millions of Iraq citizens who had nothing to do with it at all. This man "bush" need to be hanged.I really do not care when or where just hang.
Now I would like thid idiot giuliani explain just why he would be able to do something no democrat or independent president can do.He has been standing in the rain/smoke to long send him an umbrella and a gas mask please.

the best of good byes frank bowers in austin, tx

Well, I certainly am eating my words. I previously told people that I would be willing to vote for Giuliani.

I don't care what party the candidate comes from. Anyone who plays the "fear card" is off my list of possible candidates. I wouldnt care if my own dad ran for president. I'm sick of anyone trying to scare me into voting for them.

Screw you Giuliani.

I blasted Clinton for anything that I didn't agree with. I didn't even vote for him. I was horrified when personal FBI files of political enemies were "discovered" in the White House. But I can tell you this, I would a thousand times rather have Bill Clinton back in the White House than the mentally ill person we have there. This White House is not only wrong, it is evil. No one that has any morals or ethics could ever support this president. He is a liar, sociopathic, and just plain ignorant.

The multicultural left has made great strides in destroying this country. Why is it that you are so compelled to attack President Bush when you ignored the corruption and cronyism of the Clintons? Why is it that you feel so proud to attack this great nation? We may have problems but at least we don%u2019t stone people to death for exposing their ankles. In end, people like you and the hypocrite George Soros are not taken seriously. You fund your rants with money that is shielded from taxes in offshore funds that help the super-rich like the ambulance chaser John Edwards. You all belong in Guantanamo.
