To compare media reactions to Obama to that of Palin is just silly.

Obama has emersed himself in the tasks of assembling a team of professionals capable of cleaniing up after Bush. His is busy.

Palin lost the adoration of the media because she is stupid!!

No doubt the media elected Obama. Even the big oil companies that wanted McCain to win couldn''t fight against the media or the sheep minded Americans that bought into all that media drivel.
The media keeps a cap on everything they don''t want us to know or talk about. Just like the thing about Obama''s birth certificate. Even Kenya is keeping the records sealed. If Obama was born in Kenya, then he shouldn''t have been eligible to run for president, just like the governor of California. But, the media is in control of everything.

Please stop this stupidity. I get that you dont like Bush. Bush has made some mistakes. But get some perspective on it.

Jimmy Carter left us with the largest problems we had faced since the Depression. Iran had turned against us, held Americans captive, America had become a drug dealers paradise, Gas lines were blocks long and gas prices rising fast, unemployment ws the highest since the depression, But we still had inflation rates of 10%+.

Reagan was able to fix those all within the first term, by the second term he ended the cold war. the press would have us believe Obama is even better than Reagan. Lets HOPE so.

My experience with those who espouse conservative ideology is that they are generally self-righteous, and/or paranoid, and/or xenophobes - usually a combination of all three.

I feel that I am liberal on many views, but conservative on many others. I believe in American for Americans. Nobody should be barred from acheiving citizenship, as long as they assimilate to the culture and follow All the laws of the land. if that fits your definition of Xenaphobe, then I guess i am one.

True, but I see this happen in life all the time, people running away from something they just have to get away from and don''''t care where they end up, in this case Americans escaping from "Bush". Many teenagers who run away from home are guilty of this, jumping out of the proverbial frying pan and into the fire, jumping into situations far worst than home when suddenly home doesn''''t look so bad. Obama benefited from an anti-Republican, anti-Bush administration climate. Any legitimate Democrat probably would have won against McCain. Now Obama will be under the microscope and will have to earn his stripes and good Press for real, but I also think Obama will be a good President because his heart is in the right place, in addition Obama will need 2 terms to clean up this mess.

I think you are right and have said it very well. except I am not as sure that Obama will be a good president. I hope he is and I will support him. However, he seems to have bought into some of the hype himself and could easily overstep. His oratory and charisma could lure us all into a mistake so I hope he is careful. So far, he has done well. Lets hope it continues.

machineguy,
I agree with you, I said a few months ago once the dogs were called off Palin they will run to the next bait.Seems they are on their way right now.It is just ashame they did''t do it to start with so we know who this guy is and just how much influence some of his past friends had on him.Lot of questions will surely be coming his way. Will he address them or sweep them under the bus again? I would think playing the race card like he did with Hillary won''t work anymore. No more the man, he is the man.

If you look at this guy''''s posting he thinks liberals are the savior of all things and they are going to save the nation. You could confiscate all the wealth in America today (Like Obama would love to do) and still not have the money to accomplish these things.

Another pro government loony who thinks the earth will end without the help of his government saviors - sad.

First off, how is it you can condemn him for personal attacks and then engage in one of your own? Does the word hypocrite mean anything to you?

More importantly though, you are NOT responding to the point that he makes that Obama wants to spend money on infrastructure and energy elements, and that if there is going to be spending it makes more sense than uncontrolled and uncontrollable bailouts of wallstreet firms. Just railing against ''big government'' and ''crazy liberals'' does NOT make your point (or any point).

"Your "savior" is going to fall on his sword."

I have no illusions about what Obama can do with the train wreck created by his predecessor. But if he pulls it off, don''t go whining anymore. And don''t complain either if he fails because of your and fellow McCain backers'' lack of support.

"He promised things that there is NO way on earth to accomplish with the amount of "fires burning" and the federal deficit we have now."

Just who created this train wreck and left it for him to cleanm up? Sorry, but there''s no running away away from it. The blame for it all lies squarely on the shoulders of GWB and his backers. Yes, even if Obama fails.

"Liberals (and some people who claim to be moderates think with their hearts and not with their MINDS are the morons who elected this socialist."

Huh? The Christian Right voted for the worst president in living memory and you say that LIBERALS elect without their brains?

"They will find ways to blame Bush 4 years after he''''s gone."

You betcha! And that''s because this fine mess he''s gonna us all into is that bad that its repercussions could be felt for decades.
