Since no one of any importance should or does read Kathleen Seidel''s blog, I am very grateful that Sharyl Atkisson has published this article. I hope it is just one of many articles to come that cause a dramatic change in the vaccination program that will save the lives of more and more children and teens and adults. The Risk/Benefit ratio for vaccination has changed in the last 20 years and too many lives have been damaged by the failure of the vaccine program to err on the side of caution.

Quite actually, there are over 4,900 Autism cases PENDING in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. So, Autismnewsbe, take that fact and choke on it. Another FYI - according to the U.S. Dept of Education in 2007, 1 in 67 children have Autism in elementary school and are receiving SPECIAL ED services for it. 1 in 150 was in 1994. Take that too and choke on it!

Thank you yet once again CBS and Ms. Attkisson for putting the info out there for your readers to weigh and decide. Thank you for giving us the benefit of the doubt when it comes to our ability to understand and make educated decisions; something which the other side seems to believe us incapable of.

Thank you Sharyl Attkisson! You are AWESOME! FYI - Autismnewsbe works for the drug companies. So, take this person''s advice with a grain of salt! I for one will take ANY ONE OF THOSE DISEASES any day over Autism, ADHD, Bi-Polar, MS, brain damage, kidney damage, eye/ear nerve damage, CANCER, SV40 virus (cancer too), life-threatening blood disorders, learning disabilities, death, SIDS, etc. Yes, these may all be attributed to vaccines! Totally sick! I am SO HAPPY that 10% of this country is no longer vaccinating their precious babies. That would explain the CDC and AAP''s recent greedy actions by calling on teens and adults! Have to make up the lost profits!! You go girl! Blow this case WIDE OPEN!

Given that the known prevalence of ASDs in the US is 1:150, chances are that 17 of the 2,600 vaccines cases in the last 20 years would involved an ASD. The point, which eludes Ms. Attkisson, is there is no empirical support for the purported link between vaccines and autism.

"I have since learned that the 934 families paid out more than $800 million since 1990 by the vaccine court included several with injuries that resulted in "autism-like symptoms." At least a few of these cases involved tuberous sclerosis complex, a rare genetic condition in which tumors pop up in the brain and other organs, sometimes causing severe mental disability. "

AutismVox--

Neurodiversity.com reported on a series of other autism cases in the vaccine court.

I don''t think this is the same one, as Ms. Atkisson is reporting on one from 1986 and the Suel case was from later.

It is odd how Ms. Atkisson is slowly catching up to Ms. Seidel (neurodiversity.com) with her post "a not so hidden history" and to Arthur Allen (http://washingtonindependent.com/view/recent-vaccine) with his piece, "Recent Vaccine-Autism Award Not the First"

Perhaps Ms. Attkisson would like to cite those who found this out months ago?

There is a very important point that seems lost when talking about the federal government conceding the case of Hannah Poling: It is NO LONGER one of nine autism "test cases" in the Omnibus Autism Proceedings.

This is important because in one fell swoop the the Government accomplished two objectives vital to the protection of the Immunization Program. First, they were able to pass on an assumption as though it is fact - that Hannah was "born with" mitochondrial disorder.
Second, they blocked the petitioners in this case from presenting evidence that shows it is very likely Thimerosal could have created mitochondrial disorder in Hannah Poling.

This is important to remember - Hannah was given thimerosal on the day she was born and many more times before the disorder was discovered. Making up that she had the disorder prior to vaccination without any proof to back it up seemed impossible to do in front of the Special Masters of the OAP, and the Respondents also knew this would be evidence to be used in all future cases before the court.

Our Government has been good at sweeping things under the rug - but the rug is no longer big enough, and great reporters such as Sharyl Attkisson are beginning to look there.

Kathleen Seidel at Neurodiversity.com reported on what is, I think, the case referred to here, in this post:

http://neurodiversity.com/weblog/article/148/

It''s Case 90-935V (1997 U.S. Claims LEXIS 210, September 22, 1997), in which the DPT vaccine was administered in the 1980%u2019s, and there was aggravation of tuberous sclerosis in a child diagnosed with autism.
