The question that is debatable is if we have the time, willpower, and courage to do what needs to be done.

Yes, no, and no.

I don''''t know whether or not global warming is true. But I do know that it is career suicide to question it.

Career suicide for who? It would be career suicide for a Republican or a fossil fuel-dependent corporation''s science staff to accept it!

Al Gore is STILL afraid to debate the global warming scam he is foisting on the world.

Don''t you think it is a conflict of interest for him to profit directly from this hoax he is perpetrating?

If you like being suckered, then Al Gore is your guy.

The White House also hired political hacks to edit scientific reports that strongly pointed to the fact of man-made global warming.

Or hide the fact that it''s not man made!

...................................................

Why is it crucial to stop anyone from questioning the reality of global warming? I thought the truth would prevail in open debate

Thats another problem, there is no open debate, which is sorely needed.

If the science is so solid, why can''t the proponents argue the facts instead of resorting to character assassination of their opponents?

Oh, maybe it would--but the truth is not what we are supposed to hear?

Here we go again, republican ideals obfuscating scientific inquiry. Their mantra? "Let''s all just bury our heads in sand."
Dolts.

CO2 and greenhouse gases produced by human industrial activity are causing global warming. That is not in doubt among scientists. The concentration and rate of emission of those gases can be reduced. The question that is debatable is if we have the time, willpower, and courage to do what needs to be done.

Posted by andor3 at 11:24 AM : Nov 16, 2007

And another group of scientists say that co2 isn''t cuasing global warming. Who''s right?

BTW, thanks for correcting my crappy sentence structure, LOL. I didn''t notice it, till I posted. LOL

changing the exhibit does not change the truth, it just hides it.

They want to pass laws limiting CO2 output, which all people and most, if not all, living things produce.

And that may, or maybe not is causing global warming.
There''s simply no proven facts on that yet.

Hey slim1h2o, what does your comment have to do with using political influence unduly on science?

Before we go off half co cked, and start passing knee jerkish laws, that only complicate the matter. Lets find out what "really" is causing global warming.

We may find, that we can''t do anything about it.
