I don''t blame the internet. No sah. Wal*Mart sells junk. They have no pride. Yer have to watch what yer buying. I use the net to look up things. I would rather buy in a store. I will check if the stores carries the items and that helps as I can look up what is needed. We take the bus and go.
I hate smoking. Poeple will still do it.

Walmart was Star Trek''''s Borg to the Mom & Pop stores across this country - swallowing everything in its path. I will have no sorrow if they go belly-up, in fact I''''d like to see it sooner than later, let them choke on their own selfish creation.

You will be assimilated, resistance is futile.

Actually, when Sam Walton opened Walmart, he did so to provide an inexpensive market for American-made goods. After his death a man named Glass took over, that was when you first started seeing alot of foreign products on the shelf. Now, the dream that was Walmart has become as a previous postr says:
China-Mart.

I bought a faucet for my kitchen sink yesterday at home depot. I looked at all of them and each one was made in China. I don''t know if you can even find a prodect 100% made in the USA anymore. China holds more bonds and other money tools then the US has. The sell off only started really not that long ago but we did sell most of it. I wonder if I can get a job with Haliburton. Least I know they will still be around And I can live with *** C as my boss. I just wont go hunting with him. He is a bad shot or then again maybe not such a bad shot after all. Just had the wrong shell. You need 00 buck to really bring down an old bird.

Anyone with any sense who kicks down people''s doors in America should expect a chunk of lead fired at their head.
And remember when George W. Bush said "We must get Osama Bin Laden dead or alive!"?
That was just another lie from our cheerleader-in-chief.
I wonder when Wal-Mart is going to start some communist youth groups in America like they have done in China.....

WalMart did not put Mom and Pop out of business. We did by finally having a retail option that was actually open for business after our workday ended. I would love to patronize local retailers, but they all close at 5:00 pm. The few that do stay open have crud on their shelves that I would not take for free.

Kicking in doors to find smokers? My, my.

If this idea catches on, maybe next will be kicking down doors to find somebody sneaking a slice of pizza at 1:00 AM...''cuz ya know that stuff contributes to obesity and high cholesterol, two more "maladies" that impact the bottom lines of Business and the insurance industry.

At the rate personal liberties are under attack these days maybe those Matrix films were prophecy rather than speculative fiction.

Anybody ever done any investigative journalism aimed at finding out how much money the insurance industry provides to legislators who back such ideas?

The Internet as nothing to do with the slump at Wal Mart, it has to do with the truly pathetic wages paid to employees, thus resulting in often, rude, incompetent and scruffy untidy service. The saying that to pay peanuts you get monkeys would be unkind to underpaid staff but the analogy applies. Wal Mart should go look at Marks & Spencer in the UK, smart intelligent helpful young people and always polite.
M&S are successfully riding out a sales downturn, not by selling cheap Chinese rubbish but with quality and a smile, it is a pleasure to spend in their stores which is more than I can say for Wal Mart.

Hopefully yes!! Walmart is one the most disgusting corporations in the world. They have destroyed local businesses, especially in small towns. They treat their emplyoyees like dirt,do provide a liveable wage nor adequate health insurance. To top it off Walmart is one of the leading sellers of products from China. So if you want to buy your favorite lead based toys visit your local walmart.

Nice to see Wal Mart losing for a change. After all the damage they have done to all the Mom and Pop businesses, the low wages they pay employees and the spying they do on there own people to prevent unions they deserve to go belly up.
