"You are obviously a racist, seeking out one of the few Afro Americans on this site."

Very few posters here identify their race or ethnicity.

Nobody knows how many or how few the Black posters are.

Nor should it matter in the Marketplace of Ideas.

The Mod Squad

"They were three hipper-than-hip undercover cops with a touch of menace and plenty of attitude.

They walked the walk and talked the talk--and an entire generation stepped into line. Julie, Linc and Pete--Peggy Lipton, Clarence Williams III and Michael Cole, respectively--changed the television landscape. Now, take a journey back to the turbulent '60s and relive the phenomenon known as The Mod Squad, a bold TV series that redefined fashion, from hairstyles to language. "Solid."

"Correct Iceman. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks Nazi Hate Groups, only radical right groups use the term now and it IS NOT meant in a nice way either."

darkmeat4 and his fellow "undercover 'Black Men'" bone up on contemporary Black American culture by watching old reruns of "Mod Squad"

Unfortunatley for them, it gives them away.

You're pulling my leg now, if you're claiming to be black.

I don't take a laptop to Starbucks. That is so 20th century.

When I go to Starbucks, I haul my whole desktop and printer in and set them up.

That never fails to impress the crowd.

For really cheap coffee, though, just pretend you're an alcoholic (if you have to pretend) and attend AA meetings. The coffee is free.

For a while I kept seeing that Drew Carey promo where they kept asking the trivia question, "What percentage of Americans feel they are more intelligent than George W. Bush ?"

They never did give the answer.

Was it 99.9 % ?

"Sitting around StarBucks jamming away on CBSnews.com from your lap-top thinking you are so much more intelligent than anyone else..."

I'm intelligent enough to know they just raised their prices, and I can brew coffee more cheaply at home.

(darkmeat4 is so obese, when he sits around Starbucks, he really sits AROUND Starbucks...)

Panhandlepete:
Well said. Big brother is bigger and badder than ever before with nothing but worse to come.
Since we as individual Americans keep letting these things happen, we may as well start practicing calling each other comrad.
The terrorists must be loving every minute of it. They can just sit back and watch us destroy our freedom.

Our WAR machine is going stronger every day. It must be productive if we are selling $20 BILLION of toys to SA. How easy it will be to siphon off plenty of stockpiles so that the "Police State" will be well supplied at the time of the takeover!!!!

Technology will play an important role in this feat. Think the intrusions of cameras on every street corner or warrantless searches are bad. What about the "mandatory" contribution of DNA to government databases? NOW IN EFFECT as of July 1, if you have been charged with a felony. The next step moves to other areas under government control, such as military, employment, births, etc.

Your own private DNA can, and will be, used against you in the future.....in many ways. We are not being protected by the current privacy laws, and no one is looking out for the individual.

I'm sure this will be the first item on the Iraqi Governments agenda when they get back from their 5 week vacation. We can't bother them with this now, but this should be included in the September report the U.S. Congress is expecting when they return from their vacation. They will only have one week to contribute to that report since they return the first week in September and the report is due the following week, maybe they are working on that report now while they relax in comfort while our troops die in 130 degree desert heat!

Can we freakin' just impeach now? Lets get this over with.

How many of our kids have been and will be killed by these "lost" weapons? All US weapons should have ballistics tests done on them prior to use.

This whole administration needs to be shipped to one of those torture places.

This lost of weapons is right up there with the lost of millions in cash the U.S. rolled into Iraq on pallets to so called pay Iraqi's that magically disappeared within a few days! This one Iraqi made a mockery out of that cash distribution with no accountability as he bragged about getting in line over and over again. The U.S. can't be this stupid and since it all starts at the top with the leadership I guess the Reagan trickle down theory is alive and well.

Surely one is not surprised by this????

I mean, NOTHING about the Iraqi occupation was planned. It was started off by seat of the pants decisions, and still run that way today. No planning, no accountability, no double checking, no nothing!!

The weapons were given to Iraqis. Once out of US hands, ANYTHING could have happened to them. People who have nothing and are desperate, like the Iraqis, will sell whatever they have to try and protect themselves and their families. Even if not desperate, an AK-47 would bring a good price to the cash flush insurgents.

More evidence against Bush on how stupid this whole idea of invading was!!!!

Of course they cant keep track of the weapons- once they give them to a foreign army who is full of traitors and double agents, what do you think is going to happen?
The only answer is to elect Dr. Ron Paul president and get the US back to the principles our fore-fathers fought and died for.

Sure hope those Saudis aren't as careless as the Iraqis, 'cuz we're letting them have $20 billion in new toys.

Toys that you don't necessarily want to have to pick up after "somebody" forgot to put them away.

200,000 AK's....a drop in the bucket. Bush and Cheney are lining the pockets of their friends in the military industry by sending billions of dollars worth of high tech military arms to Saudi Arabi, the country whoses nationalist keep attacking us, and America doesn't even care.

All these neocon, far right, "end of the world" wackos want, is your approval to create a military state right here in the good old U.S. so they can have the Plantation owner lifestyle that great granddaddy had. By covertly arming the terrorist through the CIA they then scare the hell out of America more and more through each attack by bombarding us with propaganda about how we need a camera, a armed guard on each and every street in America, and someone monitoring your e-mail and phone communication. And we don't even protest.

So much for the fourth amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

"Men desire authority for its own sake that they may bear a rule, command and control other men, and live uncommanded and uncontrolled themselves" (St. Thomas More, A Dialogue of Comfort).
