===This has to be grounds for impeachment.===

Impeachment? This is grounds for having him shot. Outing a CIA agent for politcal gain and now disobeying an order of the President of the United States. This is the USA. We do not have secret or shadow governments. Anyone who thinks we should is free to move to North Korea or Cuba, where they are into that sort of thing.

I'm not sure I even understood the people who still stick up for this administration.
Are you so fearful of the world these days that you have no problem with the VP having absolutely no oversight? It will be interesting to see if you still feel that way in January of 2009.

When the government rules in its own favor that it has no oversight from the People's House, that government is no longer a democracy, folks.

Cheney was given the power to classify and declassify information in 2003.
In 2003, Cheney declassified information and gave it to Scooter Libby to give to Judith Miller.
Does anyone notice a problem here?

But by the same point then, he isn't covered by Excutive Priviledge. "Now, about those Energy Meeting back in early 2001..."

Oh, that is beautiful.
You can not have it both ways.
Thank you for that insightful contribution :)

"As an aside, it's difficult to take seriously the screaming tirades of people who can't spell and can't tell the difference between to and too, your and you're and other basic grammer usage.

If the National Security world were of the Jurassic era, Cheney'd be a T-Rex. Big? Bold? Proud? And king of de jungle. And all you little raptors think yer tough. Cuz yaz circle around and hound and terrify and act all smart and stuff hunt'n in a pack. But that T-Rex? That T-Rex.. one blow. From his jaw. And its bye-bye.. bye-bye.

Does Dubai honor extradition to the US? If not, we have to get chicken-hawk Cheney before he leaves and runs to Dubai and avoids extradition.

I'm not at all worried about that. Both Cheney and Bush royally pis*sed off the long serving agents (not the political appointees, but the career ones) of the CIA by blaming this war on them when it was Bush and Cheney who twisted the intel. Career agents don't like to be blamed even for things that are their fault, let alone for the ones that are not. The CIA has a long memory and an even longer reach (Dubai isn't far enough away to run and hide from them). I wouldn't be at all surprised if both of them are not on a future "accidents" list somewhere in that agency. Well, at least I hope so.
