The first seven words of your post are the truth, I'm sure, danbygrace. The rest is lunacy.

- While Chaney and Bush siphon off the treasury , the 2nd article is another example of the affect on America. Something as fixable as a nearly nonexistent 911 service outside the cities can't be done for lack of funds.
My local paper carries a "military Update" column by Tom Philpott. It's titled "Top Docs Blast Phony Health Budget Efficiencies". It describes the CUTS that are occurring with military medical systems.
There are dangerous things associated with military sites and to shut down medical care at those sites and rely on civilian facilities designed for a small local population is another Katrina scale disaster waiting to happen.
And yet Chaney still insists on blowing the budget on a CORPORATE WAR and spying on the American people.

- homespunlady, I agree about Gingrich except that I also think that Newt, who is really no dummy whether you agree with him or not, made his statement about "the language of the ghetto" intentionally for political expedience. Like a statement made in court that the judge orders the jury to disregard. The point has already been made and Gingrich has apologized, but his feelings about Hispanics, Blacks and ghettos have been made clear. Given that much of the south has been courted and won by the use of racism either subtly or openly by Republicans, even though most conservatives will deny it, he has accomplished what he set out to do - gather Conservative support and votes.
By the way this is not an endorsement for bi-lingual education, because schools are having enough problems already. It is simply a statement about the political expediency of taking a relatively minor issue and using it for political gain.
As far as trying to keep everyone ignorant and in the dark, that is another matter. - Reply to this comment
- Who cares what Cheney claims?
Osama Bin Ladin has more public support in the US than D. Cheney.
If D. Cheney and OBL were the only two candidates in the 2008 US presidential election, OBL would win by a landslide.

That's true. I remember a few months ago on Countdown (MSNBC) Keith Olbermann showed comparative favorable rating to other ratings and Cheney's ratings are so far down that more people in the United States believe they have been abducted by aliens then support him. Then again maybe that's his base. lol! - Reply to this comment

- A declassified Pentagon report released Thursday concludes that there was no direct cooperation between Saddam Hussein's regime and al Qeada. But *** Cheney, apparently, remains convinced there was. ONLY IN HIS AND BUSHES HEAD!!!! ALSO RUMSFELDS HEAD..THEY SHOULD BE HANGED FOR TREASON AGAIST OUR COUNTRY...FOR THE MURDERS OF OUR KIDS.
The Washington Post on Friday said the report, which had been issued in summary form in February, drew on "captured Iraqi documents" and "interrogations of Saddam Hussein and two former aides" which "all confirmed" that Saddam and al Qaeda were not working together prior to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. THERE HAVE BEEN ALOT OF US SAYING THIS EXECT THING FOR A LONG TIME NOW, SO WERE ARE THE ONES THAT LOVE THERE BUSH CRIME FAMILY.THIS SHOULD KILL THEM..SEEING CHENEY WINEING LIKE A BABY.

- Yelling "Fire" in a movie theatre is a crime. Telling Congress and the American people falsley that Al Quida is in Iraq, in bed with a dictator who also happens to have WMD must be a crime as well. Now 3500 dead American soldiers, 350000 dead Iraqi civilians. Why is this dumb President and VP still in office. Congress should do its job and impeach them both.
