Kudos to Katie Couric for posing the appropriate and timely questions to Sarah Palin. Ms. Couric was brilliant!!

Ms. Palin must understand the consequences when she accepted the choice to enter Prime Time. This is not Alaska where she can see Russia from her bedroom window.

America, you have seen last nights''s debate, now you decide who has the best criteria to run our Great country in the event the President has to step down for any reason. Do you prefer someone with consistency, competence and knowledgeable about foreign policy issues or cuteness and/or an animated hockey mom folkster with lipstick?

Katie, I don''t know what kind of person could write the trash sent in by aphabits2, but I consider you to be a very fair journalist, and a wonderful host of the evening news. I tape your program every night, just in case, I come in late. I always look forward to the CBS Evening News, and I love the fact that you use Walter Cronkite''s voice over for the introduction.

I was a fan of Katie''s. I thought she got a raw deal because her news show is on at 6:30PM on the west coast, after the other stations. I kept her show on out of loyalty and respect for her. But after seeing her hateful interview and how she treated Sara Palin, I will never watch her show again. I will show her the respect she showed Mrs. Palin-none at all.

I am so disappointed in CBS, I don''t know where to start. I have CBS nightly news for years, but I have had it. I have wanted to switch but now I will. Katie Couric''s interview with Sarah Palin
is disgraceful. Katie, you looked mad and could not wait to stump her. You are not a fair new person.
I am a registered Democrat and I am ashamed how the media sucks up to Obama especially, NBC. Anyway, I
am done with you Katie, so I will probably watch ABC nightly news.

The master McCain and the student Sarah Palin defeated.

Sarah tried hardly to memorize the notes transcribed for her by her republican coach. But the machine did not work well, as expected. The score of the game for two seasons of debates comes down at two to zero, for Obama / Biden.

Sarah must understand that talking without saying anything is not a good strategy to win a debate or even an election.

Playing a comedy, humor and the emotional card can never save McCain. Everyone has his humor and his different background to share. Sarah must, like Biden, know how to give answers, answers, answers and answers, and again, knowing to respond short and with precision and intelligence.

Against Joe Biden, Sarah did not respond to any question, as in her failed interviews before the debate. Sarah Palin use to make rhetoric but empty of substance, structure and coherence. Politics is about knowledge of issues and never about the emotional and empty words. The McCain bracelet and "a mother in the kitchen around the table with her kids! Wow. Obama has also a bracelet. Biden also knows how to raise kids without a mother. You see, that emotional arrow doesn%u2019t work!

There is no Katie''s restaurant on Union Street in Wilmington - it has been out of business since the Clinton administration. It is a Wings to Go!! No one in any Home Depot in Delaware has seen Biden in a store this past year. He hasn''t been to Scranton (other to campaign with the small town values in chief hater) in about 40 years. He rambled and bumbled and lied through out the entire debate. Palin told the truth. The left media won''t tell the truth t though. We are on our way to state controlled media and a socialist, communist regime. Ask about Obam''s foreign campaign contributions? No answer from anyone.

I would be so embarrassed if our vice president who someday could become president used such dignified and intellectual terms with world leaders as Joe six-pack, dog gone it, gotcha and *** it. I am sure the winking and folksy demeanor will not be qualities needed in dealing with ruthless terrorists. I love America and I greatly lack confidence in a folksy vice presidential candidate who apparently pleased so many Americans with the fact that she did not fall on her face as expected in a debate could be in charge of keeping this country safe and productive. In a real crisis like 9ll I doubt that Sarah Palin will be rehearsed enough to make the crucial decisions that will be needed to keep America in tact.

I am totally upset with the CBS media, Especially with Katie and her interview with Sarah. I am so disgusted with the way Katie interviewed Sarah. Shame on you Katie. I am a woman and I feel so proud to have a woman like Sarah Palin as a vice presidential candidate. I truly question the moral and values of CBS and Katie. I pray for all of the media that for some reason doesn''t know how to be unbiased and truthful. Hopefully you will re-evaluate yourselves and become better reporters. I''m proud to be an American!!!!! Thank you God for Sarah Palin!!!
Sincerely,
Penny from Michigan

I don''t watch CBS either but I decided to leave a note here. I think that Gwen Ifill should not have run this debate because of her Obama Book - but I have to say she did a very professional job just like McCain said she would. Very different from Katie Couric''s condescending and hostile environment. I think that news people should be respectful of the candidates. That doesn''t mean that they can''t ask tough questions - but they should not create a hostile environment like Couric did.
