- Can we be SERIOUS here for just a second and try to drop this party-vs-party ***?
Palin is incapable of holding a PRESS CONFERENCE! Can anyone POSSIBLY imagine a PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the greatest nation ever on this earth, being INCAPABLE of meeting with a group of reporters all yelling questions with cameras rolling and flashes going off?
THIS IS THE REAL WORLD OF INTERNATIONAL POLITICS FOLKS NOT A BAKE SALE OR A FOLKSY MEETING WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS.
WAKE UP.
This woman is a JOKE. McCain was a FOOL to select her after a short meeting and a phone call. God help us if these losers win the election. - Reply to this comment
- Wirehead814 is spouting right-wing talking points that have been refuted, but Todd Palin''s links to AIP Jim Vogler (Alaska secessionists) screaming d a m n e d flag and fires of h e l l ... have not. Why? Liberal media? Where?

- McCain claimed he tried to regulate the mortgage industry but this is a lie. 10 MONTHS after anyone touched the bill, McCain blew the dust off it and cosponsored it. He didn''t do anything to push it forward, and the bill never saw any more activity in the Senate.
Journalists need to do their jobs here and explode this MYTH.

- Katie Couric did a good job interviewing Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin did not do a very good job answering questions that were legitimate. Ms Palin needs to prepare better for her debate and her interviews. If she wants to be vice president and maybe president she needs to learn foreign policy and national security matters very well. She has no business being in the White House if she can not handle Katie Couric''s mild questions. I think Sarah Palin needs to do a whole lot of studying before now and the election. I am voting for Obama-Biden on the assumption that she won''t bother studying foreign policy matters.

- Katie is a liberal swine under the Obama trance, why doesn''t anyone call him on his admitted drug abuse, his constant flip flopping! His no nuke stance, his antimilitary stance, his father who died in a drunk driving accident, his father''s womanizing, his failure to recognize his brother who makes $1.00 a month, c''mon guys, what happened to "fair" journalism. Katie, how about an in depth interview on Obama''s radical ties to William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Reverend Wright, convicted felon Tony Rezko who helped him buy his home!? There''s way more dirt on him than McCain and Palin, stop digging through garbage cans in Alaska, and start digging in Chicago!

- Katie you should stick to making sure you always look great, that is the only thing your good at. Gov Palin is a great person and I guess that bothers a lot of women these days. What does that say about our women. I think she is a great role model for our young girls. Thank God because we surely need one.

- Excellent job! In fact, it was not only good for America to see Palin''s true colors, but also for Palin herself to see her own weakness. Had it not been for Katie''s interview, Palin would not have known how out of her league she is, which in the end would make her tougher in the long run, so she should really thank Katie for this, if she is a gracious person.

- One more comment. Katie is not a journalist. I''m not trying to be mean to Katie, she''s a talk show host that got a job as a news anchor. Everyone knows this, it''s not a secret and it shows in her interview sytle. As the Olbermann show best put it, Katie''s interviewing style is more like a therapy session not a nail it down journalist that came up through the ranks asking the really tough questions and demaning an answer.

- So we should be okay with a government that comes out and tells us this bill needs to be passed right NOW without any checks and balances in place? Does anyone have any idea why a government would come out and make such an unbelievable request? Why are they trying to shove this down the throat of every American? Could it be that Paulson wants to take care of his own base? Paulson who is an ex Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs with ties to AIG and other recently taken over companies. Is the man pulling the strings? It seems that the hurry to get this bill approved is more about not finding out certain details about Paulson%u2019s past and his affiliations to big business then it is about helping our country. This administration has never been up front with the American people so why would they start now. Americans should be in an UPROAR over what is going on right now! If this isn''t proof that Bush stands for BIG BUSINESS then what the hell does?
