Its a sad time in our country where the idiots like some who post in this area, talk about things they know NOTHING about. If Obama gets in, they probably wont have to work, or pay rent. The gov. will supply everything for them using money from the working people. Ya right. give all these lazy bums a free ride.

I certainly won''t be watching one more minute of Katie Couric. She is a joke and her interviews with Palin show what a joke she is. CBS news is a disappointment and I will no longer give them a minute of my day. Fox is my news of choice - they are the only ones to give a straight story.

I can hardly wait to hear more from Palin tonight. It''s good that Katie is asking the necessary questions so hopefully America will see who & what she really is about. Please put someone in the White House who is literate, not one of the good ole boys & willing to do the work necessary to put America back on track with it''s own people & with the rest of the world.

lmcpark.."Katie Couric is arrogant. You really are a ***. You set her up and made yourself look bad." No, Sarah made herself look bad, Katie''s questions were legitimate. God help us all if this ticket wins!!!

It sure is good to know that she knows her geography.

I grew up 37 miles from Canada, so by her standards I''m an expert on Canadian deplomacy.

Scary!!

MrsSmith:

Giving Sarah Palin credit for mediocrity is far too kind. Based on that interview, she''d be lucky to be hired at McDonald''s.

She responded like a student who hadn''t studied for the test. I love when she got flustered and blamed "reporters" for not buying the most ridiculous line about knowing where the Russian border is as "foreign policy experience". It was quite kind of Katie to step in as her English instructor and give her the word she clearly couldn''t put her finger on... something Sarah Palin getter get comfortable with ... MOCK. (See SNL).

Kudos to Couric for calling her out on the "everyone is waiting to see what Senator McCain is sayin'', not Barack Obama", with her finger waving in the air... my God. Who buys this ***?

Katie Couric is arrogant. You really are a ***. You set her up and made yourself look bad. Now I remember why I stopped watching you. You are mean-spirited and keep a smug look on your face when you think you have someone. Sarah Palin is capable of being VP. She has a lot to learn but she is hands down more capable than Joe Biden. I''m sickof you!

I always liked Katie Couric on The Today Show, but frankly I thought she was hired at CBS to do hard news for a similar reason that Palin was recruited by McCain.

I''ve always had a hard time with the serious Katie, after having seen her in a different role for so long. That doesn''t mean I don''t respect her. I just think she was better in a different role. (After seeing this, I am convinced that the only role for Palin is as a Hockey Mom... and with a pregnant 17 year old, that''s questionable!

But here, Palin makes Katie seem like Edward R. Murrow. You go Katie!

By the way, is it not amazing that the McCain campaign didn''t at some point convene and say "we can''t use that Alaska thing anymore to support foriegn policy experience. They''ll never buy that". But no, here they are, assuming we''re all as dumb as she is.

I think everyone who has taken an Alaskan Cruise is hereby qualified for the Presidency! Step right up, and let''s spin the wheel!

This will clearly move the polls further in Obama''s favor.

Country First? Spare us.

by god you republican people are a pack whining sycophants, you whinge when the media goes too hard, you whinge when Couric gives her a soft interview & you whinge for the sake of whinging.

get real, this is what she''ll have to put up with if McCain wins the election, god help us all if he drops dead! She clearly has NO understanding about conflicts of interest, the world or the world we live in.

if mediocrity impresses you then Palin is the person for you.
