- To ediet516: What does her view on abortion have to do with foreign policy??!! But since you brought this up, ok, the decisions to end the life of a child is MURDER, not a right. Sugar coat it all you want people, the decision to rip an innocent life out of a woman''s body is what abortion is, rather than "just the simple removal of tissue" going on the premise that the chlid is not a life yet...... it will be if allowed to progress. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, quit jumping up at this and pay more attention to our economy and what the heck is going on in congress, a $700 billion bailout??? I''m a Obama supporter btw, but with how strong my views of Abortion are, I''m choosing to try to save the life of our soliders first.

- The difference between reality and the positive expectation of her as a candidate is stark and somewhat sad.
When other countries (neutral or "bad guys") negotiate or talk with Sarah Palin, what will happen?
Palin may not care about polls, but this does not mean she does not care what people think.
Her reality of empty answers and "multifaceted" response is her reality. She believes seeing Russia gives her the experience to deal with people. This is her.
She truly believes she can represent the best interest in America. She believes it. After this, I obviously do not. - Reply to this comment
- Way to go Sarah! You put Couric in her place. You''re a brilliant woman. I''m actually surprised you had an interview with this obviously biased liberal. Great answers on Russia, Pakistan and their wonderful President, and Israel. Keep up the great work Sarah!

- Do not be swayed because she is a woman. She is not prepared for this job at all. I think McCain wanted to stir things up by picking her but now it is bitting him in the butt. He chose her for the appearance, to show he is a "rebel" from the regular choices that we would have assumed he would pick. The problem with that is he made a very bad choice. If she were a man, would we be so interested and willing to write down or off her countless mistakes. I am a black woman and appreciate the fact that we have evolved to have an election where we can have either a woman as VP or a black man as president. But she is the wrong woman.

- Here''s the truly amazing thing about Palin''s interview: she wasn''t ready for even the most predictable questions. Surely, she should have known that her strange remarks re the importance of Alaska''s proximity to Russia would come up, yet when that subject did come up, she had to grope around for an answer and in the end came up with a ridiculous reply. Knowledge matters. Doing your homework matters. Palin tried to get by with a smile and a friendly manner. It wasn''t enough for the interview--not by a long shot--and it certainly wouldn''t be enough if she someday found herself in the Oval Office.
I am a Democrat but I used to have a good deal of respect for John McCain. Not any more. He''s shown incredibly poor judgment in picking Palin as his running-mate. - Reply to this comment
- I will tell that Palin has to be the least qualified candidate for VP that I have ever witnessed. Palin is like a deer in headlights %u2013 for most of the interview she was bewildered and rambled on with ridiculous replies. She made several fruitless pursuits at coherence.

- Pinkforpalin, you are a complete idiot. No wonder you feel what Sarah Palin said was good. It is true if you ask a regular person the questions she was asked they might get stumped. But she is running for office, she has to know these things. The media does give slanted views on topics, but the interview was not one sided it was just ridiculous. She persists to not answer the questions asked. Katie Couric was there to interview, not aide her in a speech class.
