- I am now very curious to see the remainder of the Couric/Palin interview. It%u2019s mind-boggling to read commentary suggesting Katie Couric was somehow at fault during this interview. It%u2019s obvious that as long as she gets to go on Fox News and be %u201Cinterviewed%u201D by Shawn Hannity, she can fool some people into thinking she is qualified.
Whether you are a Republican or Democrat, if you have any level of competence you have to realize the unbelievably incoherent rant of Palin as answers to the questions Couric asked is someone who is definitely not ready to be VP %u2026 heaven forbid - President. - Reply to this comment

What an embarrassment and an insult to the American people to even suggest that Sarah Palin is capable of being a heart beat away from such power. I would rather another 8 years with George W. At least we know what we would be getting more of.
I wouldn''t want her representing me at the watermelon seed spitting contest here in Georgia. Leave alone being an ambassador for this free world to the other nations.
John McCain''s campaign song should now be "What kind of fool am I"...
That is just my 2 cents...Have a Victorious Day! - Reply to this comment
- Why do McCain/Palin supporters keep harping on the media being mean to them? When did it become mean for the media to do their job? When you run for office you are suppposed to be asked hard questions by the media. That is what they are there for. If you can''t give intelligent answers and you are made to look like an idiot! Then your an IDIOT!!!!!

- I was embarrassed to watch Palin being interviewed by Couric. I have no political axe to grind, but Palin''s demeanor and answers to the questions were more representative of a beauty pageant contestant instead of a VP candidate.
For all the criticism that our educational system received recently when a teen beauty contestant was questioned and stumbled badly with an answer about a middle east issue, I have one question: Didn''t Palin receive a degree in Journalism? - Reply to this comment
- Anyone who watched the Couric/Palin interview can only come to one conclusion %u2026 Palin is not qualified to be VP. This was embarrassing. How can anyone in their right mind see this any other way? Don%u2019t be surprised if McCain does not drop Palin from the ticket. She was really a fish out of water and it was ugly!

- Sarah Palin is unprepared, uninformed and an embarrasment to the political system.
it may be "hockey moms" for Palin but it is definetly "intelegent and informed women" for Obama - Reply to this comment
- I think most of you see what you want to see. Why some of you act like you know so much, yet cannot even post a comment once (kristal007) and be done with it, kind of makes a comment all by itself, doesn''t it?
As for me, I think Gov. Palin handles herself find. I do not find issue with her Alaska/Russia comments, nor for her backing Sen. McCain in his efforts. She is his running mate! What would you be saying if she didn''t back him. Gov. Palin handles herself fine. Although she does not have the experience Ronald Reagon had in handling the press corps, and his ability to either cut the question down or ignore it, her general views seem to be in line with his. And Ronald Reagon is really the only President I have respected both for his position and as a human being in my 50 years. So - perhaps some of you are two young to remember what real is. But I assure you, it''s a lot better than the ones whose every decisions seems crafted for the news media! - Reply to this comment
- I didn''t see the interview but have to wonder if when Vice President Palin is in hot negotiations with the Russians or North Koreans their hostile "body language" and frowns will count for much.

- We need our VP to be able to tongue tie reporters, not reporters able to tongue tie VP candidates. This was an eye opening interview. As much as l like Sarah, l will not be able to vote for McCain. l really wish he had made a smarter choice. He was clever, but not wise.

- I had no idea that Palin was George W Bush in a skirt! Just like Bush she sees things in black and white, talks in extremes because she doesn''t have a grasp on the issue being discussed and is inarticulate when flustered. This interview was hard to watch. It was like watching a fish flail out of water.
