I am a 49 year old white male a life time resident of Idaho and am very disturb about the fact that race and bigotries is playing such a big role in this election. When I ask my fellow white whom there voting for and I hear the White guy ore I%u2019m not voting for that *** I almost come out of my skin and then to see menacing adds like McCain most resent I feel like I%u2019m flashing back 40 years. This need%u2019s to be address aggressively and Mr. McCain Is dealing the race card and fueling the fire of bigots across the Nation his feet need to be held to the fire he talks about Country first and if it seen that he has won over this issue there be a back lash that will ripple across Nation and tack us back 40 years.

Ms Couric, most %u201Cthinking%u201D Americans can see through your feigned outrage. Your article is nothing more than a poor attempt at a cheap shot based on internet rumor and innuendo. It is clear that liberals, such as yourself, are scared to death of a %u201Creal%u201D woman such as Sarah Palin who is a self-made woman in every sense of the word. Because she is conservative, the ever-so-tolerant liberals will stop at nothing to destroy her. But more American%u2019s are on to you biased types in the media. I know personally of four Democrat women who are voting McCain precisely because of the way the Democrats, including their press agents in the media, have attempted to belittle and smear this good women, simply because she doesn%u2019t ascribe to the liberal agenda.

Katie, the first nonpartisan position I have heard you take and indeed this is not a political issue. We all want privacy in our personal email and if some of these posters here would read they would know this was a personal account with kids photos etc. Funny how women have demanded equal treatment from before I was born, then when a conservative woman succeeds they hate it--she is unsavvy. People want privacy unless the violated person is conservative. Thank you for your comments Katie.

Katie, yes we know you hate Palin and everything she stands for: women rising to the top of their career while raising children and making a difference in their little section of the world . . . Oh wait, that used to be you. Now you''re just angry and bitter like all the other liberal feminists because wehh wehh wehh, we should have had a woman on our party''s ticket . . . wahhhh . . . we only support women who think like us. Sexism in journalism even from women. How lovely. Can''t wait to see you try to slam her to the carpet in the interview. Maybe Barbara & Whoopi and Charlie can help you. Shall I ask them to bring the torches?!
A VP CANDIDATE''S EMAIL ACCOUNT WAS HACKED INTO! THERE WERE NO SECRETS THERE, NO IMPROPER USE OF THE ACCOUNT!!! But you just put it out there as a little nibble for the liberal radicals to run with on their blogs. Give me a break!

I don''t know about anyone else, but Senator McCain said that he was going to clean up Washington and Gov. Palin said the say thing. But how can she or McCain say that now that they are trying to cover up Palin''s non guilt or guilt. This isn''t good for the American people. How can you trust someone that says one thing and does another. Where is the Honor? You can''t have Honor without truth.

I just wonder if I had hacked into Biden''s email and posted his stuff if there wouldn''t be wild outcrys by all the media? I also wonder where o'' where are all the privacy zealots that say that Bush shouldn''t be wiretapping? We shouldn''t have video cameras on every street corner. Give me an "H" "I" "P" "O" "C" "R" "A" "C" "Y"

Do we really want to put someone as unsavvy as Ms Palin "a heatbeat away from the presidency?"

First it is laughable that she even has a Yahoo email account and second it is laughable that she set it up to be easily hacked.

Her handlers are not doing their job.

Katie we hardly knew ye! You need to watch some other channel''s news to get up to date BEFORE you go on the air each evening. Your "updates" on Palin are so out of date as to be last week''s news. The entire legislature in Alaska is available via email, even to the man in the street. Just go to Alaska''s home page and look around for the legislature; once you find them, just take your pick of who to write. I would suggest Hollis French, the political NON-entity who "spearheaded" the NONevent rediculously promoted as "troopergate". Didn''t you notice the Donald endorsing McCain & Palin last night? When will you feed us that bit of REAL news? Next week?
